Review: Like JoAnne, my mom gave me this book when I was going through a tough time in my life. It calmed me as the book contains specific Bible verses that speak to your need at a particular time in your life. It helps to increase your faith. It's also a GREAT companion book to use when studying the Bible. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Summary: Encouraging reminder of God's promises
Review: This book was given to me while I was in a crisis. My life was turned upside-down. People had lied and betrayed me. There was nothing or nobody that I could trust, except God. This book offered a catagorized collection of God's promises of hope and comfort that I could hang onto, and it gave me security. Since that time I have used this book like a topical bible to add verses to encouragement cards and have given away a handful of copies to Christian friends in need of a reminder of God's unfailing love. I have a few other versions of promise books, but this one is indispensible!
