Summary: enthralling inspirational romance
Review: They met when they were children in a Chicago orphanage. When they were old enough to leave, they legally change their name to O'Malley and moved into a home together. They were closer than most blood families so that when one of them died, the only member who doesn't have a significant other or is connected to God can't handle the loss. Stephen quits his high-pressure EMT job and heads off for parts unknown, running away from the pain that he can't cope with.

The only person he keeps in touch with is Meghan Delhart, a former trauma nurse who was blinded in an automobile accident five years ago. When Stephen finally returns home he buys a home in Silverton, Illinois, and is practically Meghan's next door neighbor. As he slowly comes to grips with his sister's death, he begins to fall in love with Meghan but she is strong in her faith and won't allow herself to love someone who doesn't share her religious beliefs.

THE RESCUER has to rescue himself and he does so in slow painful steps while his heart is breaking which immediately engages reader empathy. The hero is a good man who has seen so much tragedy in his young life and it is only when he is able to connect to God does he find the peace of mind he has been seeking for years. Dee Henderson has written another enthralling inspirational romance that showcases a character trying to cope with a terrible trauma.

Summary: The perfect wrap up!!
Review: This book closed the O'Malley series so well! The only thing bad about it was that it meant that there wouldn't be any more books on the O'Malley family, a fact that had me so disappointed. But I couldn't stay that way for long because this book was just so awesome! I could definitely relate to Stephen's wanting to get it away from it all after his sister died and I love the fact that Meghan wouldn't even think about dating him until he became a Christian. It takes a lot of guts to do that, even when your heart's telling you to give in. This book is without a doubt a keeper!

Summary: Great Book!
Review: This book was one of my favorites. It follows the life of Stephen O'Malley, who is trying to deal with the death of Jen. He starts hanging out with Meghan, a girl from his childhood. Then, stolen jewels start turning up in weird places, and somehow, it might be connected to Meghan. Stephen will do almost anything to help her out. Meghan has had a crsh on Stephen since they were kids, but she knows they could never be more because of their beliefs. Could things work out? If you have read the first 5, this is a must read book. Enjoy!

Summary: City boy turned country boy
Review: What do you do when you want to get away from the city, but still want your family close by? Why, it's easy. Find a stolen piece of jewelry and enlist their help in finding out the truth.
The story of firefighter turned paramedic Stephen O'Malley is told as the last story in the O'Malley series. After suffering from fainting spells, Stephen moves to a small town where he can start over. There he and his old friend Meghan renew their friendship. Trouble looms close by however when Stephen and Meghan get caught up in a jewelry scam. When Stephen calls in his pregnant sister Kate and her husband, more trouble looms over them as a tornado comes through the town the same time that Kate goes into labor.
What's a brother to do? Find out! Read The Rescuer. I guarantee you won't ever regret it.

Summary: Way to go Dee!
Review: Wow! Dee has done it again. This is an excelent book. The Healer made you cry because of their loss, but this one helps you deal with that sorrow, and start again. I love how Dee takes real characters and puts them in situations that are extreme, but gives them real emotions.
This is the last of the O'Malley books and we get to finally meet Stephen. Although I am very dissapointed that this ends the story of the O'Malley, I am looking forward to her next series, The Uncomon Heroes. Take my advice, if you like romance, suspense and a good story, read Dee Henderson!
