Summary: Useful Time
Review: I recently purchased and read "Chicken Soup for the Prisoner's Soul." Each entry touched my heart. I posted the poem entitled "Wasted Time" on my office door so all of the inmates in our program could read it if they chose to do so. One inmate came to me recently and told me that he reads the poem every night before he goes to sleep because it gives him something to think about in terms of making positive changes in his life, especially while incarcerated.Therapeutic Community professional

Summary: A Mother's Review
Review: I'm the Prison Ministry Leader of a medium-size church that ministers to a inmate listing of about 80 men and women nation-wide. Also, I'm the Mother of a 30 year old male that is doing 30 years at the MD Correctional Training Center. Everyone of our clients have received this book and every new inmate that is referred to us gets one. We get letter, after letter, after letter telling us about this fantastic book that gives them hope, peace and encouragement. My son even thanked me for sending him the book, and he really didn't want me to send him anymore "Jesus Stuff". This book is a Gem, not only for the Prisoners, but for the family members as well. Summary: Amazing Grace
Review: Prisoners are human beings! Chicken Soup For The Prisoners Soul transforms the stereotypic image of all prisoners being horrible people woh are threats to society. As I read this wonderful book I found myself questioning our criminal justice system. Chicken Soup For the Prisoners Soul shows that prisoners are indeed human beings; people who would be better served by communnity support rather than punative retribution. Please, don't just believe me. Read this wonderful book for yourself and I am confident you will be incredibly moved.

Summary: Emotionally Euphoric
Review: Reading this particuler book has opened and enlighten my heart and soul. I've been made aware of that people placed behind prison bars are not to be forgotten. One needs to separate that it's the behavior which placed them here. They are as human as anyone else and shed tears, feel pain, love and have regrets. Who ever reads this book or has a loved one incarcerated will reach another level of understanding in one's life. Open yourself truly when reading this book and you will feel what I'm trying to say.

Review: Thank you! Finally someone has addressed the possibility that there are real people in prison! Kudos on your collection of wonderful stories. Even though one can make a mistake, I believe there can be forgivness and good in all. This book gives us a glimpse of the hearts of many prisoners that are forgotten. God can and does work through them. We outside can learn much by way of theses short poignant tales. I have used a number of them in class. Great cartoons! Is there a second book in the works? Summary: I Could Not Put This Book Down :-)
Review: The book "Chicken Soup For The Prisoners Soul." is kewl. I have told all my pals,
inside and out about the book. Quite a few of them have bought it, read it, and wrote
to a few of the inmates. I did too just to let them know I read their stories and
enjoyed their open honesty. Did not hear back from any of them yet, and that is ok.
I laughed, I cried, and the cartoons were hilarious :-) One of my lady friends saw the
book on my table, picked it up, and got so engrossed in it she stayed the afternoon reading while I went about my chores :-) I look forward to reading the follow-up book " Serving Time, Serving Others."

Summary: Another wonderful collection of stories to warm the heart.
Review: They have done it once again - another great collection of stories that warm the heart and inspire. This book is not just about those who are prisoners, but rather about all of the people around them - the staff of the institutions, the families. This is very worth reading!
