Summary: strong stories
Review: Every night before I go to bed I read one of the stories in Jesus Freaks. To learn about all the different types of people who showed no fear in standing up for Christ really highlights the fact that Christians aren't just one certain race or ethnic group...Jesus is for everyone who calls on Him. It is scary to think about being in a situation like those that are described in this book, but comforting to know that we are not alone as believers.

Summary: Incredible acts of courage
Review: Jesus Freaks is a book of real stories of real people. These people showed incredible courage by not denying their faith in Jesus even if it meant torture, imprisonment or death. This book will give you too the courage to renew your faith in Jesus and stand strong and unwavering as a Christian. Jesus Freaks is one of the most incredible and enlightening books that I have ever read. WARNING: After reading this book, you too may become a Jesus Freak.

Summary: (supernatural Jesus)-freaks
Review: This book helps solidify the fact that Jesus died for us all. Many nonbelievers say that Christians are simple minded and only claim their faith simply to carry a cause, but why would someone die for something unless they had a personal relationship with a supernatural force, Jesus Christ, making them true Jesus Freaks!

Summary: Inspirational Book That Grips You Into It.
Review: When I first started reading the book, it was just another thing to do. But after I read the first story I was hooked til the very end. The book consisted of many true-life stories of martyrs who died for their faith in Jesus Christ. I would learn something new everyday and live in awe at how so many people would do those things for the Lord Jesus Christ. This book made my faith in the Lord even stronger than it was before. I have grown more as a Christian and now I am happy to preach the word of God to any one who will listen. Sometimes I cried, sometimes I smiled, sometimes I was proud, sometimes I was in awe, and sometimes I was in guilt while reading this book. It truly was an inspirational book for me. I look up to all those people in that book and every martyr in the world. I couldn't put that book down many times. You would think that this book would be boring because it has a lot of stories of people in other countries. But it was such a good book. I would recommend this to anyone.

Summary: Awesome book!
Review: This is such an inspiring book. I love dc Talk, but even if you don't like them, don't pass this book up. It is really convicting. It made me wonder if I was strong enough in my faith to handle that type thing, and I now understand the tough things some missionaries go through so I can pray for them more specifically. All in all, a great book!

Summary: Choose to Live
Review: I dare anyone who reads this book, believer or not, to boldly say that these people were narrow-minded or weak using their religion solely as a crutch. I once did and after personally seeing others stepping out of their comfort zone during mission trips, I have come to see how these saints and martyrs shared an awesome courage that comes only from our Father. Jesus the Christ is Lord and we must live accordingly. I realize some of us are already there (ready to join Him in our new bodies), but this book will encourage you to really choose to live for Him first and most. It's not a Bible but the one's you read about were the Word because they let Him LIVE within. "I am weary of holding it in, indeed I cannot." Jerehmiah 20:9

Summary: Not Just For Teens
Review: I am also enjoying this book D.C. Talk has put in our hands to read. I feel this book is not just for teenagers. I am 40 and I am telling my friends about it. Its amazing to see what these christians went through for their faith. And as D.C Talk says in their book "You may never have to face the decision of whether or not to die for your faith, but every day you face the decision of whether or not you will live for it". Enjoy the read

Summary: A freak for God
Review: This is the greatest book that I have ever read (even counting secular books I've read) I've always been shy in every way, but this book has stirred me up. I live in Australia, so I probably won't end up in the same situations as those in the book but know I want to do something for God. I recommend that anyone and everyone should read this book!

Summary: I love the use of the Bible!!
Review: The faith of the martyrs in this book only makes mine want to grow more and more. I have read other stories about martyrs that do touch my life but the collection needs to go on. I will say that this is the first book on martyr's I've read, but I think what really compeled me to make the decision, which I'm sure will be thought about if the time comes, but I've made the decision to live for Christ and die for him if I recieve the chance. What I really want to say however is that I loved how they did add the stories of Saul, and other biblical heroes in their book. Even though you could find these stories in the Bible they portrayed them deeper in their book. It made me look into the life of Paul and all the other diciples. It also helped to look at the other bible verses they provide, I love this book not just because of the impact it makes on your heart, but the impact it made on my bible studying. Ive now spent numerous nights studying my Bible and trying to inhale all of God's word as fast and as full as I possibly can. I hope you look up those bible verses that are in the book, and are convicted to study on your own.

Summary: No Fear!
Review: I have been interested in the martyrs of the Church for some time, but have been unable to get through the dusty old books I have found earlier. Never fear! This great re-telling of the lives of the earlier martyrs and the inclusion of today's martyrs is a great challenge for me to get my act together. I was surprised at the number of men and women who died to bring the Bible into our language today. If you can read this book and not make changes in your life I would be surprised!
