Summary: Let God use this study to change your life!!!!
Review: I have been a christian for seventeen years, and this is one of the very best bible studies I have ever done. I am a perfectionist and have always felt I had to be doing any and everything that was laid before me. This study taught me that the number one importance of our lives as christians is our relationship with the Lord. If this is not at the top of our priortity list, nothing else will fall into place either. I also learned to do the things that GOD leads me to do , not what others are wanting me to do. I am learning to say "no" to the good things in order to save my "yes" for the excellent things God has for me. Don't be hesitant - give this study a try. You'll be blessed greatly!!!!!

Summary: How can I deepen my relationship with God?
Review: Blackaby and King have written an excellent practical workbook for the Christian who is serious about deepening his relationship with God. The central question of the book is, "What is God doing in my life, and around me?" The followup question is, "How then can I join that work?" The authors then challenge the participants in the study to examine how they listen to God and see God work, how they respond in faith, and how they change their lives to reflect that faith. The focus in the book is on God. It is biblical in almost every point. This book is to be done in connection with other Christians. Just reading it is not enough, nor is doing it by oneself. Others teach you and you teach them as you go through the study. I have done this study four times with different groups and have profited every time. I recommend the book highly as a paradigm-breaker and maker. God bless.Steve Austin

Summary: It's Great!
Review: This book is great! Experiencing God Youth Workbook is an interactive book, with many things to fill in, verses to read and memorize, and thoughts to ponder. It's made for you to work through a unit (about 5 lessons) in a week, and then discuss that unit with a small group, but is also good for individual study alone. This book really helped me grow closer to God!

Summary: Prepare to meet God!
Review: This wonderful study changed my walk with the Lord forever! It is a 13 week study that I finished in 6. I intend to do it again and again. The premise is so profoundly simple: He spoke to Moses; He speaks to us! As I worked through the study, I saw all the places I had experienced God and never realized it was Him or gave Him the credit He deserved. I highly recommend this study for every Christian, whether you've been walking with the Lord a month or a lifetime. Warning- it is very convicting, so be prepared to meet God and make major adjustments in your life.

Summary: A life changing exercise.
Review: Most times courses are seldom motivational. Experiencing God is more than a course and more of a personal and group challenge. My wife Carol and I have witnessed several churches in South Africa change its commitment from project centered projects to God centered obedience. We introduced Experiencing God and have once again been blessed in witnessing our new fellowship in England begin bearing fruit from week one. Now the course is complete we are starting a second group. I strongly recommend this book and the accompaning materials for every Church that is about Gods' business.

Summary: Top-shelf resource to build relation with God and friends.
Review: Experiencing God requires daily commitment to the study guide format to achieve the greatest benefit. The book and leader's guide are well written and thought provoking. The book is very "Baptist" centric and made one study group participant feel uncomfortably guilty. The study has wonderful results in building the bonds of small groups, I have used it in small group studies at Methodist churches and will do so again. I highly recommend it if you want to improve your relationship with God and enjoy reaping rewards of a challenging study.

Summary: Easy-to-understand guide to knowing the God of the Bible.
Review: Blackaby makes clear that it is possible to come to know God in an increasingly intimate manner throughout life. Blackaby points out that God is always active around us, and is looking for someone to work with Him to accomplish His goals on earth. Our "yes" response to God's gentle call is the doorway to coming to know Him more intimately. Blackaby drives his theme home by referring to many Old Testament saints who discovered God's love and faithfulness through a living relationship with Him, and shows how *we* can do the same today. What's especially helpful is how Blackaby links the knowledge of God with working *together* with Him to bring about His will; and, how God will sanctify us in this process to make us more like Christ. The whole book can be summed up in Blackaby's statement, "God initiates a continuing love relationship with you that is real and personal." This book has helped me understand God's purpose in bringing many things into my own life--that His ultimate desire is not just my sanctification, but sanctification with the ultimate purpose of intimate communion and fellowship with Him *in this lifetime.* You will be radically changed if you read this book seriously and prayerfully!
