Summary: Read the first 10 pages!!!!
Review: Although the book referenced the topic of infidelity for nearly the entire book, the author did give you hope and some very good ideas that are working to save my 25 year marriage. In my case, there was no infidelity on either of our parts. Just a whole slew of damaged feelings and carelessness on my part. Well, the amortized cost is now being paid for by me. Take this book and read it. it is a very fast read. He gives you ideas that are proving very very helpful. Yes, you will read much about infidelity and, yes this may not be your challenge. Just like it was not mine, but, the ideas work for all relationships that have melted down. this booklet will give you hope and help the anxieties and will help you cope with the pain

Review: Although this book is barely more expensive than a cup of coffee, I wish I'd gone for the coffee instead.If you are deeply religious you may find comfort in this book that talks more about the scripture than about relationships. Offers very little practical information relative to almost any other book on the topic that I've encountered; suggests following the "Word of God" no matter what the cost.

Summary: Healing Marriages in the New Milennium
Review: An incredibly honest book that puts the modern marriage in proper perspective with its biblical passages. I really became aware of honoring the covenant I have with my husband. Practicing forgiveness in good times is difficult enough let alone in bad times. Taking a hard and introspective look at myself was not easy as I had to be honest regarding my role in this marriage. For any woman whose husband asks for a divorce, I recommend this book. It prepares you for either outcome. In my case, we reconciled, and with God's love, turned this marriage around. That was 3 years ago and we found each other again and try not to take each other for granted. There is no ego in our marriage anymore and we work as a team. Marriage takes work and now we have the tools to work at it together.
This book might not speak to those who are without God in their lives. But it does speak to those of us who believe. I saw a miracle change this marriage, my husband, our child and me and I am forever greatful.

Summary: How to Save Your Marriage Alone
Review: As a Born-Again Baptist Christian in the midst of a divorce, I found solace in how scripturaly based this book is. Dr. Wheat gives the reader God's answers for marriages in trouble or at the brink of divorce. The book is an easy read (read it in one night and will re-read soon), inspirational and uplifting-it gives those of us trying to salvage our broken marital relationships hope in God's faithfulness to the believer. It's good to know that God has a disdain for divorce.

Review: Biblically sound advice. This is a chapter out of the book " Love Life for Every Married Couple." "Love Life" describes in more detail the method to have a loving, committed marriage. Definitely worth buying.

Review: Ed Wheat completely overlooks the possibility that someone may be in an abusive situation. Reading this book in a marriage that contains any form of abuse, emotional, verbal, financial or physical could intensify the already painful patterns. Abused women already carry too much responsibility for the marriage. My wish is that the indicators of abuse were clearly stated so that if abuse were present the reader could turn to more effective methods of resolving their difficulties.

Review: I disagree with the author's statement that the wife should tolerate her husband's comings and goings! Dr. Dobson's approach of releasing the unfaithful spouse, sets boundaries, without sacrificing the spirit of the faithful spouse.

Summary: Don't give up!
Review: I read this book after seeing two counselors who only wanted to prepare me for life after divorce. They were not interested in saving my marriage. This spiritual approach to saving marriages probably saved my life. I had hope for the first time in many months. While we are not divorced, my husband has not entered into a reconciliation with me. However, as a result of this book, I learned some practical, biblical actions I could take to have chance at saving my marriage. Eighteen months later, he is still here with our children. I pray for the restoration of my marriage. This book (and the bible)are my best chances of that happening.

Summary: This book saved my marriage
Review: Several years ago when my husband said that he wanted a divorce, this book and another book by Wheat, "Love Life" fell into my hands. Reading this book changed my life and my marriage was saved. We are living a happily-ever-after story thanks to God and this book.
