Summary: A NKJV version of the Bible with comments by Lucado & others
Review: This more modern translation of the Bible (NKJV) with comments by Max Lucado & other inspirational writers inspired by God is easy to read & understand. The comments explain the historical context of the Scriptures & add modern-day examples of how to apply what the Bible is saying to us today. I've found it really helpful in knowing what the Bible says about how to live a Christian life in these troubled times, find joy in life, and understand the purposes of some of the things that are going on in our modern world.

Summary: I chose an incorrect translation
Review: Unfortunately, I purchased this book thinking that it was written in the most current, modern translation, not the King James. This was my error. I apparently did not read the description thoroughly enough. I am sure that it is a wonderful book, but I believe that I would benefit better from one that is written in simpler language. If you have any suggestions to solve my dilemna, please let me know. Thank you.
