Review: I've read various versions of the Bible and I believe that this translation is the best. It is easy to read and easy to understand. The life application sidebars are great, thought-provoking and relevant. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to read through the Bible for the first time or as a gift to someone.

Review: So far I have been very pleased with this Bible. I love the notations and study guides included - great inspiration. The only reason I do not give this 5 stars is I have a difficult time finding the chapters, I think this is because of the heavy paper inserts - when you thumb through you automatically stop at these pages. I also wish it were available in NIV or NKJ. I seem to be the odd ball in Sunday School reading from this translation.

Summary: Easy to read, understand, and apply
Review: The New Century Version is one of the easiest to read versions of the Bible that I have ever studied. It is basically plain English, and very easy to understand. Also, thanks to the Editor, Max Lucado, there are many insightful selections from many Christian works in the margins to help guide your studies, devotionals, and personal enrichment. I have used this Bible, not only in my own studies, but as gifts for both Christian and "pre-"Christians alike. This makes an excellent study tool for anyone who wants to know more about God, Jesus, Christianity and how to live the life to which God has called us.

Review: This Bible is very readable. I keep several different translations in my home, but this is the one I pick up to read when I really want to enjoy and understand what I am reading without reading the same passage several times over. The inspirations Max writes on the sides are really beautiful. I am buying one of these for my daughter's graduation from college.

Review: This Bible really brings the Word of God to life by making it more easily understood. With his God-given ability to draw the reader into his examples, it brings the Word of God to life. Inside are also prayer helps for the tough times when God seems distant or extra distant depending on where you are spiritually. With uplifting insights and scriptural helps inside, this is a "must have" for your Bible list.

Review: This is a very well-written easily-understandable compilation of the bible. This is especially true for those who have had little or no bible reading in their lives. The author has done an excellent job of relating gospel stories to today's situations. This encourages you to continue reading and pondering the scriptures.

Review: This is my absolute favorite Bible. The New Century Version makes this version easy to read, easy to understand, and easy to share with others. Add in all the "life lessons" that go with the scriptures by not only Max Lucado but a literal "Who's who" in Christian literature and you'll know why this version is fantastic! Did I mention the "100 greatest thoughts" section or the awesome chapter introductions that could only come from Max? 5 out of 5 stars, easy!
