Summary: Out of the Dust of Ignorance The Truth Rises Again
Review: As The Truth is always destined to rise again, so does The Original African Heritage Study Bible come forth by unquenchable daylight into it's intended prominence. This book is a miracle. The various essays which highlight the ancient spiritual facts which transcend space-time dimensional understanding are like a breath of fresh air for a rescued drowning victim. For this work to actually be manifested and distributable among true believers is equivalent to a black hole in the far reaches of space suddenly reversing it's magnetic force of destruction and becoming a nuclear fusion miracle of LIGHT again which radiates life to all who will see. Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness and desire to have a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the deep and intimate knowledge of The Lord will breathe a sigh of relief as they ponder the once hidden but now made known truths such as: THE MYTHICAL CURSE OF HAM / AFRICA, THE GARDEN OF EDEN[Historical Evidence] / THE RIVERS OF EDEN / WHAT COLOR WAS JESUS? / AFRICAN-EDENIC WOMEN AND THE SCRIPTURES / THE ANCIENT BLACK CHRISTIANS / EARLY MARTYRDOM AND AFRICAN CHRISTIANS / PHILIP AND THE EUNUCH and so much more. This information is not presented from a racist point of view which would only be the darkness of ignorance, but from the facts as they should have been known since long long ago.

Summary: Deceitful Food for the Beguiled Hungry
Review: Authors indicate that "black" in the biblical text refers to skin color, while "white" does not refer to skin color, but is only a metaphor. See (or better yet, don't see) the notes to Song of Solomon. This is only one of a parade of inconsistencies and errors. This "bible" is a hermeneutical disaster. The only redeeming quality is the King James text, but even that is riddled with apparent type-setting or typographical errors.

Summary: The Original African Heritage Study Bible
Review: I really enjoyed previewing this Bible. It gives a fresh and new perspective on what it means to be a Believer in God and His risen son Jesus the Christ. I am Muslim who came to believe and understand that Jesus is God's Son and that He gave his life for my sins. Now I consider myself a Muslim for Truth, a Muslim for Jesus. When I learned this truth, it made a magnificent difference in my life. Since God is Love, Merciful, All-Knowing, All-Powerful, Every where present at the same time, no matter if you call him Jehovah Jireh, Yeshua, G_d, or Allah. This Bible is is an excellent tool for reaching the lost and the found.

Summary: 'Give a Bible less than FIVE STARS???
Review: Not on MY life I won't.

Being the owner of this distinctive edition, I have yet to find the "typos" mentioned by earlier reviewers. I appreciate the footnotes, highlighting Biblical text with details as it relates to an African perspective.

The book has photographs depicting various stories and events of Bible history, with actors portraying important and relevant "inhabitants" of the text.

Another "bonus" is the inclusion of African-American spirituals in the book's appendix. These songs were invaluable to the slaves as a testament to their faith as well as a strategy to be used to announce "running" from their oppressors.

Summary: Faulty thinking on Jesus's skin color. Really faulty!
Review: The author of the preface deems that Jesus, Mary, and Joseph must have all been black skinned to go into Egypt and hide there. The faulty thinking is that all Egyptian people were darkskinned and thus black. Far from all egyptians were actually blackskinned. There were white Greeks living and (until around 31 BC) running Egypt, remember Cleopatra. White Italians running and rsesiding Egypt as it was now a Roman province and so on. Jesus and his family need only have been as white as Ralph Nader and they could very well have successfully hid in Egypt.
