Summary: Adolescent theology
Review: As an experienced youth minister and religion teacher I found this book to be very inadequate. This isn't a book for adolescents on theology, it is a book with adolescent theology. It has not quite reached maturity. The answers show a lack of understanding by the author in basic moral and sacramental theology. The book is also selective in quoting the CCC. I will disagree with other reviews suggesting Mr. Pinto said aborted babies might go to hell, what he did do in that question was give the impression there is a limbo.

Summary: Answers the questions teens want to know & don't always ask!
Review: Excellent reading for teens in these days of confusion! If your teen won't read it, read it for them & tell them some of the great stuff in here and they'll be wanting to read it themselves. Especially great for teens who have been on a retreat and come back looking for truth.

Summary: Not just for youths!
Review: I agree with all of the reviews saying that this is an excellent resource for our youth. But I have to tell you that it was an excellent resource for ME at 45 years old. I loved having answers that I could not only understand, but could remember long enough to share with others! Now I don't have to just "take it on faith", I can actually get it!

Summary: Wonderful book for Catholic teenagers!
Review: I am a teenager and my youth minister gave me this book. It did a great job of honestly answering a lot of the questions that face catholic teenagers today. The book is entertaining and keeps your interest but it still has very good information! I would definitely reccomend this book to any Catholic teenager!

Summary: The teens actually read it!
Review: I am a youth minister, and I gave this book as a gift on our Confirmation retreat last year. I handed it out as we were waiting for the bus to arrive so we could head home. I was packing the rest of our materials, and I noticed something I had not heard the whole weekend: the entire room was quiet! I went to see what they were doing, and they were all spread out, reading this book! Most of them finished it within a few weeks of the retreat and started lending it to their friends. Of course, I am getting it again for this year's retreat!

Summary: Best Catholic teen book ever!
Review: I recommend this book to all teens, parents, youth workers, and also to adults who want their valid questions answered about the Catholic faith. Mr. Pinto has accurately answered 200 top questions from actual teens in an engaging and compelling manner. The answers are brief and clear....just what teens are looking for. If you care about teens and the Church, you'll put this book in their hands.

Summary: Pithy and Straightforward
Review: In a brisk q-and-a format, Matt Pinto briefly covers the major theological issues confronting young Catholics today. The book is not meant to be an all-encompassing view of 2,000 years of theology with lengthy excerpts from the Bible, the Church Doctors, and the Catechism, and Pinto doesn't pretend otherwise. However, he does include his sources in a Bibliography should any reader desire further information. In addition to the 200 questions and answers, the book features a prayer dedicating oneself to Christ and a very valuable examination of conscience and guide to the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Highly recommended for anyone Confirmation age or over.

Summary: Great Q&A Catechism for Teens
Review: Matthew Pinto's "Did Adam & Eve Have Belly Buttons?" is a terrific way for teens to learn the Faith in bite-sized morsels. Covering everything from Sacraments to the Creed, he provides straightforward answers to a range of questions. The book contains Catholic Truth, not the "Catholic Lite" one may find elsewhere.

Buy the book. "Did Adam & Eve Have Belly Buttons" is an excellent Confirmation gift. But you might consider reading it yourself first--you'll be surprised by what you learn.
