Review: We are rereading Dr. Brown's book and are amazed five years after the initial reading how insightful and truth-filled her writings are. some may brush off her comments as unreal--which is the exact response the demonic hopes for! Afterall, who comes to steal, kill, and destroy?

Summary: PERSONAL EXPERIENCE TELLS ME THIS BOOK IS EFFECTIVE!!
Review: We had a lady come to our church having suffered from SRA (satanic ritual abuse). She was possessed by at least 9 demons, and plagued with mental problems resulting from their influence on her mind. This is only one of many incidences that have occured since we became more equipped. I had no idea how to help her and others truly find freedom until I read this book. I'M A CONSERVATIVE PASTOR, IN A CONSERVATIVE CHURCH, IN A CONSERVATIVE TOWN, IN A CONSERVATIVE DENOMINATION. This kind of material in not what I usually read! However, I'm also very practical. If it works and squares up firmly with the written scriptures of God, then I want it. This book helped us to deal with situations that my seminary classes did not prepare me for. And what is most impressive with Dr. Brown's book is this - it actually works. I know from personal experience that these tools are Bible-based and effective. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WHO BELIEVES THAT CHRIST TRULY WANTS TO SET FREE THOSE HELP CAPTIVE BY THE ENEMY.

Summary: A MUST READ FOR ALL THOSE INVOLVED IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE
Review: I just finished reading He Came To Set The Captives Free for the second time. It has prepared me for the battle that every christian must face in his or her lifetime. I comend Dr. Brown on hearing accuratly from the Lord. She is very clear in her difinitions, and backs up what she says with the word of God. I pray for all those reading or thinking about reading her books. That the Lord would open your spiritual ears, and you may hear clearly what the Lord has to say to you. Jesus has sent people like Dr. Brown to teach us about the reality of Spiritual Warfare, and the efects it has in the physical world. My prays are with you. May God bless you. His Servent, Deborah

Summary: I WOULD give it ZERO Stars....
Review: ....but the lowest I CAN give it is "1" star. This book is absolute garbage. As a Christian who firmly believes in the existence and the danger of evil spirits, I find this book offensive and insulting to my intelligence. I am not referring to the possibility of demon oppression or possession, but the tales spun by this author in this book, as well as in the next one Ms. Brown also wrote, entitled PREPARE FOR WAR.
If you want to see what I mean, just take your copies of Dr. Brown's books, and a pad and a pen, and draw up a timeline, ESTIMATING just HOW OLD a person would have to be, in order to have REALLY DONE even HALF of the things Doctor Brown claims to have done in her demon-battling career. Could one person, in one lifetime, really do all the things she says she has done? Answer that for yourselves. I for one feel that demonic oppression and possession are extremely serious realities. Christianity has ALWAYS taken them seriously. This book is, however, in my opinion just a work of fiction.

Review: this book; "he came to set the captives free" by rebecca brown shook me completely.it made me realise that i've got lots to do in this world.it has also provided me with wholesome information about our "enemy" satan,and how to battle and have victory over him with the power of our Lord and Saviour JESUS CHRIST.i'm amazed to know about the happenings of the spiritual world.to sum it up i have realised my responsibility.
