Summary: A page turning thriller
Review: Ted Dekker's Three is a fast-paced thrill ride of novel that hides a deeper purpose--an examination of the duality of good and evil. Kevin Parson is a 28-year old seminary student who has escaped from a stiffling past. His biological parents were killed in a car wreck when he was one and he was raised by his Aunt Belinda, who was a strong, sheltering influence on him. Kevin escaped and looks to build a new life until a mysterious man named Slater begins hounding him. Slater is fascinated by a sin from Kevin's past and the number three. Slater begins a game of cat and mouse with Kevin to get Kevin to confess the sin.

Three is a fast-paced action thriller that will keep you turning the pages. Dekker does a great job of setting up the characters and putting events in motion and sustaining that motion as the story builds toward the conclusion and denoucnement of who and what Slater really is. I also have to give Dekker credit--he does throw in a few red herrings to keep you guessing, though the solution of who and what Slater is and why he wants what he wants is a bit telegraphed about three quarters of the way through the book. But even if you figure out the central twist of the novel, Dekker's style and examination of the nature of good vs evil will keep you going until the end. And while he does wrap up this story, you will find yourself wanting to know more about the lives of Kevin and his friends, Samantha and Jennifer, after the last page is turned.

Summary: Power Packed, Mysterious, Page-turning Fiction At Its Best
Review: Ted Dekker delivers a thought-provoking thriller, sure to keep you hooked; and up late! The only thing wrong with this novel is it might keep you from accomplishing anything on your daily schedule.

I finished this masterpiece in two days; that's when you know a book has staying power. Three on top: Randy Alcorn, Frank Peretti, and now - Ted Dekker...time to check out Blink...

Keep 'em coming Ted!

Review: WOW! What an awesome book. I definatly recommend this book to anyone who likes weird and suspencful books. The characters in this book are very dimentional. It is the classic good versus evil, but with a huge twist! In Romans, Paul talks about the sin that he does, and how he knows it's evil and he doesn't want to do it, but he does it anyway. Those verses are the theme for Dekker's book. Quick reading, and you just can't put it down! Everyone should read this book!

Summary: Suspense for the Thinking Person
Review: If you enjoy a suspense novel while you're reading it, but don't want to give it another thought after you're done, Ted Dekker is not the author for you. If you read because you want your intellect and your faith challenged - while you're thouroughly entertained - look no further. Thr3e has both the theological depth of C.S. Lewis' "Mere Christianity" and the page turner suspense of John Grisham's legal thrillers.

This book has two levels of suspense. On the first level you're challenged to discover "who done it". On a second, and much deeper level, you are faced with the enormous challenge of coming to your own conclusions about the true nature of human beings.

Ted Dekker is clearly not satisfied with living on the surface of life's events and his mission seems to be helping others look deeper as well.

Summary: Amazing
Review: We are a family of readers. My husband and I and our three adult children. Ted Dekker is our favorite. "Three" was amazing. None of us could put it down. We have read all of his books and each one seems to top the last. Can't wait for the trilogy to come out in 2004. How refreshing to also know we won't have to be concerned about offensive language. He proves that it's possible to write an excellent book, exciting beyonds words, yet no bad language. Keep up the good work Ted.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: Long after I had finished Thr3e, I was still thinking about it. The book took me to a place where I had never been before. It made me think. Helped me to understand. Far more than a suspense/thriller novel, Thr3e delves deeply into the human mind.
