Summary: Great Big Green Bible
Review: This Bible although not as aesthetically pleasing and cool as the leather version, it has the same excellent contents and extra infomation that makes this edition of the Bible so helpful. As a new Christain I wanted something to help me through the difficult parts of the Bible, and explain and encourage an indepth daily study of the Bible. This Bible has been a great help and I would recommend it to anyone interested in Bible study. If you've the extra cash the leather one is better, its thinner and easier to turn the pages, my friend has one.

Review: This Bible combines the readable, best selling NIV translation with the thompson chain reference system, an excellent concordance, an archeological supplement, major themes and church history. This is an excellent resource for Bible lovers everywhere.

Summary: Outstanding Study Bible -- Wonderful Bible for Daily Reading
Review: This Bible makes it easy to follow topics throughout the Bible to see what the Bible has to say about all of the issues that we deal with daily. It makes it easy to find what you need in the Bible. My wife and I have had this Bible for years and it has been a powerful blessing daily. I teach Bible Study and find the chain reference system to be a great tool for quickly finding facts in the Bible on any given topic. This Bible is also a powerful tool for preparing sermons or any Christian talk that you may need to give. This Bible is available in several translations.

Review: This is a terrific Bible. NASB is a conservative, literal, trustworthy translation. Thompson's is a wonderous system for tying together spiritual truths. The page layout is superb, lots of room for notes. The study helps are tremendously comprehensive; you could spend a lifetime exploring them. The presentation is elegant. It would hve been nice if the the spine were "hubbed", but that's a trivial critique. This is a fantastic edition of the Bible. Unless you're the type who's never satisfied with anything, you will not be disappointed with this one.

Review: This is the finest Bible I have ever owned. My wife and I each have this Bible... and after years of daily reading and study we still marvel over the beautiful way this particular Bible allows the Bible to interpret the Bible. The Chain reference method of following topics through the Bible is easy and a wonderful way to quickly find what you're looking for in the Bible. This is also a wonderfully crafted Bible of the finest materials. Even with daily use it looks like it will hold up for many many years to come. Thank you.

Review: This is the most wonderful Bible I've ever owned, and I have tried many over the past 20 years, including a variety of study Bibles. Although study Bibles do offer value, I think that sometimes there is too much of man's option for me to use these as my every day primary usage Bible. The New Thompson-Chain offers something truly different from other study Bibles... it fully uses God's Word to explain itself without the help of man's opinions. It is an incredible tool to dig deep into the Word of God easily - it can be used by beginners or "road scholars" of God's Word alike. Top of mind benefits are easy to read text, incredibly thorough reference system, the pages just the right thickness, extensive maps, great archeological section, many blank pages in the front and back of the book to write your own notes. But what I like best of all is the unique index system where you can look up a topic and see all the scriptures on that topic printed out together, not just the scriptural references to look up on your own. That way, you can read 10+ scriptures on the topic, all on one page viewing, rather than flipping through 10 or more scriptures. New King James Version + Thompson Chain Reference = AWESOME BIBLE!

Summary: The best study Bible
Review: This truly is the best study Bible ever published because it has the most wonderful system of chain references. I also like that there's no "study notes" written by someone who could lead you away from what God might be trying to say to you. Many Bibles with same page study notes are very helpful, but they can be distracting as well. The Thompson Chain simply guides you through the chain of scriptures and you come to your own understanding. This purchase will be my 2nd for myself - going to the large print - and I also purchased the large print NIV for my husband. He loves it, too. One other thing - the binding on Kirkbride Thompson Chains is the best - very strong and really hold up. Of course, it goes without saying that God's Word is the best book that was ever published or ever will be published.
