Review: My wife and I teach a premarital class at our local church and use this book as our workbook. So far, each of the couples in the class has really enjoyed finding what makes each other "tick". This book, with its short chapters and questionaires, has helped stimulate in depth disscusions between the future mates about what "baggage" each is bringing to their marriage. The book covers topics from personalities and attitudes,to finances and sex. Each subject is presented from a Chistian perspective, and yet is general enough to be able to cross denominational lines. If you want to really get to know your future mate, read this book. It will open lines of communication that will last a lifetime.

Review: The book itself I'm sure is an excellent guide for devout Christians, or Christians period. The fact that every single page had at least one religious reference made it very difficult for a nonreligious person to read.

Summary: A Must Read before your marry!
Review: This book taught me alot about myself and the man I am now married to. It asked a lot of questions that I would have never thought of and gave us wonderful solutions to everyday problems we have so recently encountered. Marriage is a huge step. This book will be your counsler/mediator for the upcoming changes.

Summary: VERY Christian 'guide' to married life...
Review: Very old fashioned(...) Many of the questions revolve around the woman staying home and not working. Also VERY Christian. The workbook focuses exclusively on Protestant beliefs to the exclusion of all other religious and spiritual perspectives. The book even makes statements about how God should influence financial decisions in the marriage! Not recommended for non-Protestants.

Review: Yes, this is a good book, why ? Simply because you and your fiancee LEARN A LOT ! In my case, we decided to break up for a while to think again about our true "love". Emotional love exists, but friendship love is not consolidated and of course Commitment love is far away. However, we did not realized this before and in fact we were preparing to get married ! We even attended one special 2 day session with other couples to discuss the most important aspects of marriage, however we kept thinking on getting married until we did all the questionaries and discuss the differences. Wow ! I never imagined there's still so much to learn from our relationship and so much differences. Believe me. If you are one of those persons who really care and think about a relationship beyond the typical "being in love" stuff, then you should get this book and ensure a good decision.
