Rating: Summary: Ken Nair really changed my thinking ... Review: ... about my wife, about women, about men and about God. God has given men an amazing gift: our wives. We just missed the real significance of that gift -- it's a real miracle and God explains it clearly and wonderfully through Ken Nair's writing. This is mandatory reading for any man planning to make his marriage as strong as it should be. Warning: at times it's a tough read -- most of us men don't like the truth when it hits so close to home!
Rating: Summary: Let The Transformation Begin... Review: ..and it will just as soon as you husbands read and APPLY the Christlike principles that can heal your wife's heart and draw her back. A man that is able to show that kind of love to his wounded wife's heart will always win her respect and maybe even heal their relationship completely. Your wife longs for a Godly leader and yet men don't seem to know how to do that even though they are called to do it by God Himself. Well, don't fear any longer. Ken has found an answer that will help you learn how to live with your wife in an understanding and Christlike way. But you first have to read the book.
Rating: Summary: Discovering the Mind of a Woman Review: A must read for all men who want to know what God teaches about being a true Spiritual Leader of his home and what it means to live with his wife in "an understanding way".
I am convinced if men would make the commitment to live as God's representatives to thier wives, children, other family members, co-workers...even strangers, our families would be stronger and the divorce rate would be almost non-existent, especially in Christan marriages!
Rating: Summary: sterotypes women as inferior and less intellegent Review: Each woman is a unique indivdual not the same as every other
woman on the planet. The confusion is from women following a
set of beliefs about themselves which they act out in everyday life.Like many people we are all influenced by society,it plays a big part in either shaping us or tearing us apart. This
book tears apart women in that it portrays women as weak, basically not too bright and sexless. What the writer is saying is women are victims and can't help it and the man is
always in charge of making the woman happy because she can not do it on her own through achievement and goal setting. He views women as children maybe of 3 years who have to be lead around
by the hand and romanced to death to get them to want sex.
The man in all cases has to take the blame for an unhappy home
because he in the mind of the writer is all knowing and
god-like.
Rating: Summary: This book showed me how to love. Review: I am 26 and no other book has had the impact on me that this one has. I am not married nor do I have a current girlfriend. This is much more than a book about marriage or girlfriend relationships. It shows the way to improve ALL of your relationships and your mental health as well, if you are willing to make some sacrifices in pursuit of that goal. Combined with the life events that led me to pick up this book in the first place, Ken Nair has changed the way I look at the world. I could not recommend it more highly. For any man who wishes to better understand the woman or women in his life, and himself as well.
Rating: Summary: For singles and married. Needs to be read by men AND WOMEN. Review: I am not married, nor do I have a girlfriend, rather, I read the book as a part of my preparation for the future lifemate. The book changed my mind on many things and tremedously helped me already. I saw a friend of mine reading that book. I made fun of him: "Nobody can understand a woman!" I am sure you have made or heard such comments. A year later I came crawling on my knees and asked him for that book (after the Holy Spirit put a burden on my heart). I recommend it not only to men, but to women also. As I talked to my sister about some of the material I read, it was a revelation to her that men did not know some of the obvious (to women)things about the women. If you can, give a copy to your pastor.

Rating: Summary: This book salvaged my marriage and saved my life! Review: I have never read another book so stunning and eye-opening. It took me several copies of this book to get all the way through it; I kept getting angry and fighting it. But when its contents finally got through to me, it changed my life. I did not know that a couple could be as happy as my wife and I are now. We are in our twenty-seventh year of marriage, but happier than ever thought we could be! THANK YOU KEN NAIR!
Rating: Summary: Do you have the guts to read this book? Review: I met Ken Nair in 1980, after I had been married a few years. After a week-long seminar, I accepted his challenge to a year of accountability to implement the principles in this book in the context of a small group. It nearly killed me. It took over 5 years for the light to finally come on for me. It was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, and the most valuable. I have recommended this book to hundreds of people. The sad part is that it is usually only the most desparate men who are willing to submit to the wise counsel in this book. How much better it is to fall on the rock willingly and be broken than to wait until the the rock falls on you and crushes you utterly. To those men who do implement these principles in their lives come rewards so great, I can't even begin to describe them. BUY THIS BOOK IMMEDIATELY! Buy several copies. Now!
Rating: Summary: Pick another book- any other. Review: I was deeply disappointed with this book. As a practicing Christian, I can tell you that this is not a Christian perspective, indeed contains fallacies that are not supported by the Bible and shows points of view that are misguiding many Christians. In short, this book supports the view that men are responsible for all of the behavior of their wife. This is dangerous thinking that could lead a frustrated man to abusive behavior.
Women are portrayed as mindless instruments that reflect a man's imperfections. Meanwhile, in the real world, the woman is trying to gain a deeper respect and greater fulfillment. Men like me, who have been almost completely let down by the church, are seeking help and read this book. Meanwhile, the woman may have moved onto total self-centered ill will, adultery, or other marriage-killing behavior. The poor man is left feeling guilty, because after all, he magically caused it all. Give me a break.
Please don't waste your life with such hypocrite trash as this book. There are plenty of other books to look at. One that I personally feel might do some good is "How One of You Can Bring the Two of You Together", by Susan Page. It looks at the trouble as being an unhealthy interaction between two people and offers some hope that you can affect the marriage by changing your own behavior. Then maybe you can truly start on the right path.
