I always wondered how alot of things came about such as the use of tools and weapons. This book explains it all. It teaches you about why there were fallen angels and what they taught us, like making weapons, tools, mirrors, jewelry, etc... (these were things that we were not supposed to know about here on earth.) If you are interested at all in knowing about the true fallen angels this is the best book I have found out there so far.

Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Enoch and The Eastern Church Review: I think it's an overstatement to say that the Church Fathers suppressed the book of Enoch. I think that you will find that the Eastern Orthodox Church is NOT hostile to the book even though it is not part of the cannon of scripture. The Coptics include the book as part of their scripture, and of late we (the EO) are in full fellowship with the Coptics. The Eastern Orthodox position is that we don't throw out the baby with the bathwater, so we may object to one or more things in the book, but we do see it as valuable overall. In fact, much of our tradition concerning the Theotokos(Virgin Mary) we get from such books that are not part of our cannon, yet have been adopted by our tradition. So, my conclusion is that many of you have a problem with the "Western" church's mentality, not with all the so-called "Church Fathers". Isn't it interesting to note that there has been a Church that has been "tolerant" of the book of Enoch that has existed for 2,000 years. Ms. Prophet seems to be creating a harsh dichotomy between her "new" itching ears teaching (sect), verses the ancient church, and their "real" view of such books. David Pryor

Review: I wrote a Christian fiction book (Revelations, Alpha and Omega) and this book was the one I used while researching the Book of Enoch. I did first compare many passages from all the known version I could get my hands on and this one was worth purchasing. Great extra's that I also used in my own story. This book points out things I learned from other sources as well about the modern church and its history and how an important book like Enoch's was removed from our Bible just because it endorsed the idea of giants being the offspring of fallen angels and mankind's seed. Modern theology still won't accept that truth yet Jude (the half-brother of Jesus Christ) quotes the book of Enoch word for word (Jude 14-15 IS Enoch chapter 2). Remember, the Church persecuted Galileo for heresy because he upheld the theory that the earth was round instead of flat. That was only 400 years ago. Our race needs to wake up and re-read the past and make new conclusions.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Was expecting something more historical Review: I'm guessing I missed something in the book description, but I was expecting detailed information on the origins of the book of Enoch, how it was suppressed, by whom it was suppressed, and how it reappeared. It contains some of that information (less than 90 pages), but nothing I hadn't already found for free on the web. The bulk of this book is translations of the various Enoch texts along with other non-canonical texts. If you are looking for those texts, then it's a good buy. But if you are looking for more of the historical details of the Enoch texts, I would pass on this one.

I picked this book up after having already read the book of Enoch and found that her interpretations of Enoch stretched what the book said beyond reason and included a large number of things that the book never said. My suggestion to everyone is to buy a good translation of the book of Enoch (available on this site and on many other websites) and come to your own conclusions. Elizabeth Clare Prophet is not the person to go to for interpretations of Enoch. Enoch is a Christian document no doubt, qouted directly in the book of Luke and indirectly qouted and paraphared throughout the New Testament. A monumental work for both Christians and scholars to read. However, Prophet is clearly upon reading this work neither. She even goes so far as to say that the world leaders of today and of New Testament times are demons in disguise. Please, go elsewhere to learn about Enoch.

Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Not for young Christians Review: It is no secret that books on evil and the nature of spiritual warfare can be as dangerous as evil itself and this is a good example. The validity of the book of Enoch aside, the author of this book has no authority on this matter, does not cite sources when making important points and even goes so far as to alter Bible verses to prove her points. Any Christian who prays for discernment before they read this book and genuinely has faith in the power of the Spirit will see as I have that this is an evil book and should be read with the greatest scrutiny or not at all. Young Christians should not buy this book.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fallen Angels will want this book suppressed Review: Judging from many of these reviews, I am reminded of the Biblical quote: "Beware when men speak well of you." Most are obviously Christian fundamentalists who will never be able to grasp one of the books most important concepts. There are fallen angels reincarnating amongst us. If men do not speak well of you then maybe you're on to something. Truth has always suffered the attacks of the dogmatists. This book rang true to me.
