Summary: Awesome Bible!
Review: This Bible is great! The in text references and numbering are superb. This Bible has the perfect amount included in it, it's not totally definative, it doesn't have everything but the concise dictionaries and lexical aids have enough that you can have a good meaningful Bible study without having to pull out a strongs concordance or some other reference material. I think it's the perfect balance of reference material to size. A+

Summary: My favorite Bible for study
Review: This Bible is the best Bible when it comes to a direct translation from the origional Hebrew and Greek to English.
It is also my favorite for discovering what the actual words in the original language translate to in english. It has helped my walk with Christ unimagianable. This is an exellent Bible.

Summary: Excellent Overall -- Easy to Use
Review: This Bible is VERY convenient and helpful when you want to find the Hebrew and Greek definition of certain words (the ones that the editor chooses to expound on). It is easy to use as well. Its only drawback is that many words are not defined and the editor's choice of words to define do not seem consistent (i.e., not always based on importance to the text).

As for the NASB version, it is the 1st edition of the NASB. i bought this Bible knowing that to be the case. NASB 1st edition isn't bad and in some cases (e.g., 1Cor. 1:18), it is closer to the original Greek than the NASB 2nd edition.

Lastly, the editor does have his opinions and views on certain verses and words but, seriously, find me a commentator or scholar who does not. Zodhiates does try to be objective and offers helpful insights on many words that you would otherwise have to go home to look up. For a quick, easy to use, etymology-focused study Bible, this version cannot be beat.

Summary: pretty goo
Review: this is a good resource for people who are just doing a simple word search, but to understand all of the odds and ends of syntax and lexicography they will need a grammar (at least).

Summary: pretty good
Review: this is a good word study tool for those who don't necessarily need and in depth word study. i would definitely recomend a grammar or lexicon for those who are seriously looking into greek or hebrew roots etc.

Summary: Tired of commentaries? This Bible may help.
Review: This is a very good study Bible for gaining insights into the original languages of the Scriptures. As other reviewers have noted, it contains condensed versions of Hebrew and Greek lexicons and dictionaries in the back of the Bible. This makes it handy to look up KEY (more important) words in order to get a better understanding of the text. This Bible was not meant to define every word (it would be too big to be portable), but it does a good job of handling many of the key words.

This Bible is only available in bonded leather or as a hardback. No genuine leather cover is available that I know of. The binding seems solid (time will tell). The pages are very good quality for the price. The print size if very good in the Bible's text but rather small in the lexicons and dictionaries. This Bible also has a very good concordance with many more references than many of the other study Bibles out there. It has a Notes area in the back and the standard full-color maps you would find in a good Bible. It also has a handy center-cross reference.

This version is the 1977 New American Standard, not the updated '95 version. Nevertheless, it is a good, accurate, formally equivalent translation.

What I appreciate the most about this Bible is the ability to look up some words for myself instead of relying on an abundance of commentary to try to explain the text. So if you would like to get past someone else's interpretation and discover what the text means to you, this Bible can be very helpful. If we are to know what God means, it is certainly beneficial to know what He originally said. And that is the main benefit of this Bible - looking up the original Hebrew and Greek words.

Summary: Almost great
Review: This is very handy, especially if you want to look up a word in the middle of a Bible study or sermon -- if the word you want is indexed. Not all of the words are indexed, so I am often frustrated that the word I am interested in is not defined. I would also like bigger margins for my own notes. Still, it sure beats hauling your Vine's or Strong's everywhere.

Summary: Error found first day of reading it
Review: This looks like a handy Bible overall, but the NASB version wasn't proofread enough. For example Psalm 62:12 uses the word "thine" where the actual NASB word is "your". This must be a holdover from the KJV of this Bible that slipped past the editors.
The other thing is there are a lot of words not referenced. The NIV version seems to have a more complete lexicon in some areas.
Other than that, it seems to be a good Bible but I'm returning mine in case there are more errors in it.
