Summary: Naively points out problems, no answers
Review: This book opens up pointing out all the problems associated with dating. Harris's only solution is to quit dating altogether. Apparently he thinks a wife will just fall into his lap and he won't have to worry about dating. After about the third chapter, this book completely disintegrates into a whole lot of silly, "what's the point?" stories. He does not offer convincing proof that to be a Christian means to never date, and he certainly does a poor job of backing up his beliefs with the Bible. I am a serious Christian and I know that dating is absolutely okay, especially after reading this book.

Summary: This book is really, really good!!!!
Review: Buy It! Read it! This book gave me a totally new look at a very old thing. Dating. Although the book is entitled "I kissed Dating Goodbye" I think it deals more with purity and life-long principals. Thank You Josh for this incredible book!!!!!

Summary: A Great Read for Young People AND their Parents
Review: The relevancy of this book makes it worth anyone's reading. Apart from the discussion of dating vs. courtship, Joshua Harris gives keen insights into the character qualities and skills one needs to develop for all relationships, but especially for marriage. If people planning for marriage (young and older), applied the principles of "I Kissed Dating Goodbye," many could avoid a great deal of emotional stress and pain. At the same time, they could delight in their singleness, as well as in other people, even while they wait for God to bring the right marriage partner to them. "Passion and Purity" by Elisabth Elliot presents the same concepts as "I Kissed Dating Goodbye." However, Joshua Harris' book is written in a more casual style, and for that reason, may be more attractive to a younger reader.

Review: A friend of mine suggest I read this book because I was having "guy" promblems. This book became my new boyfriend. It tought me life long lessons, that I wish I would of learned earlier. I must say singleness is truely a gift from God.

Summary: What a wonderful book!
Review: I have NEVER read a book like this. It was so wonderful to see the difference between God's love and human love. I think Josh wrote a great book and I hope he writes another one.

Summary: Joshua shows how awsome it is to be SINGLE!!! :o)
Review: When I first picked up the book, I thought that it would be about how dating is a sin. Actually it revaled to me more about how dumb I was about how I treated dating as a "find the mate" game. I never knew that we were just trying to speed up God's perfect timing. It's worth waiting on the Lord. Believe it or not! I will be serving the Lord during this season of singleness, until He shows me who He has created just for me. I'll still keep serving Him though, He is THE LORD! Oh yeah, you'll be surprised when you find out who wrote the forward! Keep seeking the Lord and you'll know that HIS plan is better than ours!! You're in my prayers, Josh. Keep seeking His face. :o) SMILE EVERYONE!!! GOD LOVES YOU!!!! :o) :o) :o)

Summary: This book is focused on do's - not don'ts - which is great.
Review: I am in my 40's and just read this book. I wish someone had told me these things when I was in high school. I have a seventeen year old and he has struggled with the same issues that Joshua Harris has. It is great that he can start from his desires and understand why he has them and what to do about them. This is a very positive book with great information explaining the why's behind all those little don'ts we've heard all our lives.

Summary: This book ROCKS!!!!!!! <><
Review: Well, what can I say that everyone else has not already covered on this review sheet!!! This book is incredible and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to anyone that just wants to wait on God for the right person. Joshua does a great job of just laying it on the line. He has been there, and done that and seen his friends do the same and now he is able to write a book about what YOU can do to follow Christ in your relationships with friends of the opposite sex.

Joshua, if you read this, keep up the good work. Thank you for this book that I was able to recommend to so many of my peers (us college age folk), high schoolers, and jr. highers.

Other books I would recommend are: "Passion & Purity" & "Quest for Love" - both by Elisabeth Elliott. She is a Godly woman author and her books do transcend across the gender lines. You want to check these out!!!

Trust me and every other Christian that has read this book, you won't be disappointed, I guarantee it. If you are struggling in any kind of relationship right now, or you really want to be having a relationship or you are just content in your walk with God, then ORDER THIS BOOK!!!

Summary: This book is great for anyone who wants to put God first!
Review: I thought at first it would be strange, but this book isn't at all. It opens your eyes to the way we try and fool ourselves as christians that the way the world dates is o.k. It just isn't the same. God has called us as christians to be set apart and we must live up to that, especially in the dating relm. All the time we consume ourselves with each other and not God only brings us further away from His plan for our lives. Joshua really covers every area for single people on how to cope with the "dating game" as a christian.

Summary: Awesome Book
Review: Joshua Harris' book I Kissed Dating Goodbye is an awesome book for any single Christian. This book talks about how you need to line up your relationship with God and then your guy/girl relationships will fall into place. He also talks about our singlarity is a gift of God and that we should not spend this "season" God gave us asking God "why", "when", "who" or "how". We should just trust God.
