Summary: What the book means to me
Review: i read the book a year ago when i was 14 , given to me by my dad at a time when life was rough..and Kahlil Gibran's way of describing human emotions and thoughts is so apt..and so true..its a beautiful book...i think everyone should read it at some point in their lives

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: i thank god that i had the opportunity to read this book.
Review: Like all gibran books, reading his work makes you ask yourself what have you been doing until then. The prophet gives you awareness and makes you look at life differently. This book is a companion for life.Death has not prevented him from passing on his message.

Summary: A gift of Love and Wisdom.
Review: I recieved "The Prophet" as a gift from my best friend years ago. Though time and distance have separated us I can always pick up this book in times of Joy or Sorrow and feel that she is sharing those feelings with me. This is the one gift I always give to those I truly care about.

Summary: A brilliant piece of philosophy.
Review: I read this book when I was 18 and fell in love with the style of the author. Later, I also discovered the subtlety that KG uses to say that "Life is beautiful". The Prophet and Tears and Laughter are epitomes of wisdom( and not spirituality !!!).

Summary: Do you really know about the mind and soul?
Review: Gibran releases himself in this amazing, driven insight to the human experience. A definite must for those who enjoy life!!

Summary: The Prophet is one of my most cherished possessions.
Review: My mother owned this book while I was growing up and I never paid any attention to it. When I grew older and went thru difficult times I still didn't notice it in her bookshelf. As I became more my own person, got knocked around a bit more and saw more of life, I took a look. The Prophet makes me weep with my joy and smile in my sorrow. There is truly not one without the other. I cannot say how much this book has meant to me.

Summary: Absolutely Outside the Box
Review: One of my greatest regrets is not reading my parents' copy in the 24 years of my life before I finally read "The Prophet". Kahlil Gibran has convincingly rebutted that sector of society that tells us to limit our horizons, to make prejudgements about others, and to confine our existence inside an asphyxiatingly narrow box, seeing nothing but black and white. In my humble opinion, the Prophet has declared that gray is the color of life.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: For the Prophet in all of us.
Review: So much joy and sadness in life reflected by this little book.It mirrors everything that we are.
