Summary: Amazing book!
Review: This is the best book I have read since "The prayer of Jabez." This books teaches you how to win the battel in your mind. This is not written by a therapist but by someone who has actually experienced what she talks about. Joyce Meyer has been through every single event she talks about in this book. She spent a while unhappy when she realized that the root of the problem was that her thinking was not what it was supposed to be. She has been through so much such as, being abused, mistereated, divorced, unhappy, etc... And now she has one of the bigest ministries of emotional healing in the world. So she knows what most christians who are unhappy are going through and how God can change your life and that the wrong mindset can make you miserabel. GET THIS BOOK IT WILL CHANGE YOU LIFE!

Summary: Life Changing Book
Review: Your actions are controlled by the thoughts in your mind. This book teaches you how to gain more control over what goes on your your mind. She starts out in the first chapter explaining two primary truths from the Bible, from Ephesians 6 that we wrestle in the spiritual sphere and John 8 where Jesus told us that the devil is the father of lies. Consequently, the lies our mind believes are distortions which hold us back from attaining God's best. Chapter two picks up the familiar theme from Proverbs 23:7, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. In chapter four we're encouraged that if the process of renewing our mind fails to reach its goal immediately, we are not to give up, that "little by little" we are headed in the right direction as we move forward. Chapter five affirms our faith. "...it shall be done for you as you have believed", the statement from Jesus in the sermon on the mount, is the theme of this section. Jumping ahead to chapter 14, she associates a passive mind with one influened by evil spirits. We're told, "the devil knows that inactivity, failure to exercise the will, will spell the believer's ultimate defeat" (p. 137). An empty mind that remains passive is open to all kinds of deception she tells us. We are warned to guard against passivity. On page 142 she adds, "you will not change your behavior until you change your thoughts." Moving into even more exciting revelation, she builds on this idea a few pages later by noting "God has a glorious plan for your life. These are the truths you must think on" (p. 159). She reminds us again that thoughts manifest themselves as actions. In emphasizing the importance of Bible study, she writes, "God's Word is His thoughts written down on paper for our study and consideration" (p. 164). This section also contains vital teaching on meditation and the rewards of reading the Bible. Part 3 deals with "wilderness mentality." This book will result in positive changes for anyone who reads it with an open mind.

Summary: Winning the struggle...
Review: Your mind is a place of endless possibilities. It is where dreams are made and where love begins. But, at times, our minds can come under attack. Most of the time you yourself are causing damage to your mind, without even knowing it. Depression in other words. Depression is a clinically proven killer, and though sometimes it is a medical problem, it can also self inflicted. Joyce's book deals with many issues, such as depression (like thinking in picture, rather than voice) which has helped me hone my thoughts into usable pieces, as apposed to material that I used to beat myself up with.

Joyce is my favorite speaker, and uses everyday common sense and wisdom to bring issues that can harm our everday routine. If you feel your mind is in constant struggle, or if bad thoughts and anger controls you - get this book. I have read it several times, learning something new with every read. It is one of the best investment's I have ever made!

Note: I am writing this review after writing one for the film "A beautiful mind" which deals with clinical mental sickness. See it to better understand relatable problems if you are under diagnosed sickness. "Battlefield of the Mind" is awesome in helping your daily struggle through life. But, if you are having problems that seem serious, please see a doctor. ~SAOS~
