Review: I usually look up verses in the 4 bibles listed in this study guide. I was thrilled to come across this edition with all 4 that I use. I was a little put off after reading a review here about the smallness of the type, thinness of the pages, etc. and decided to go to a bookstore and check it out before ordering. I think it is fantastic! I did not have a problem with the type, seems to be similar to that used in most bibles, same with the thickness of the pages. I will use this one as my main bible, definitly worth the buy - ... Buy it here!

Summary: Useful, but big and heavy
Review: It's great having these four translations in one book. It's definitely for desktop use only, much too big and heavy for casual reading. Since it's already so big, it'd be nice if they'd included full footnotes for all four translations, and it's hard to figure out how they chose the few footnotes they did include. I'm not sorry I bought it, but I don't use it a lot because of its size.

Review: The convenience of having four Bible versions in one is definitely unbeatable for those seeking to have a total understanding of the verses they are reading. The text is set up in four columns across a two-page spread which is great for comparison purposes. However, in this volume (Hardcover-ISBN-0310903335), the type (font) is so small and the pages are so thin that I find it difficult to read the text (the font is TINY and the words from the previous page show through) - and this coming from someone with 20/20 vision. I cannot imagine how it would be for someone of age or with less than perfect vision. I would recommend that you go to a brick and mortar store and see this Bible FIRST to decide if it is right for you. I wish I had actually seen the text before making an online purchase. I had planned to use this Bible as my main reading Bible but it will remain on the shelf, used only as a reference. Very disappointing.

Summary: A great book for verifying the original meaning of the Word.
Review: The Word of God is living and active and penetrates to the inner man. With the additional expository comments found in the amplified bible, the student can attain a better understanding on the first attempt. This great resource works well with a Hebrew/Greek/English Interlinear Study Bible as well. Truly we Americans are blessed to have such instruction in righteousness available to us ! Amen.

Summary: Great Parallel Bible
Review: This is a great parallel bible. It surely picks 4 great translations to base itself off of, and I find looking at 4 translations at once is great. The pages are fine enough to use a highlighter pen, and can withstand an ink pen without much, to no bleed through. Be careful though. There are really not any "notes" to study in this translation, but, just footnotes from the various translations. However, they left out/modified some of the Amplified footnotes simply because they would have too many footnotes otherwise. Worth every penny.

Review: This is a great tool for those who want or need to study from more than one translation. So much more convenient than having to look in four different (and separate) Bibles. Could use at least a basic concordance, but you can use Strong's alongside as a study companion.

Summary: Great study tool, but don't let the title confuse you
Review: This is an excellent study tool for those who want to get at the heart of the passages that guide a Christian life. However, don't get confused by the word "Study" in the the title. Although this is a great study resource, it does not have study notes found in most Bibles labled as a "study" bible. Besides that, it's great.
