Review: This wonderful Bible presents information not found in other translations including the Amplified and NIV. If used with Lamsa's New Testament Commentary and Gospel Light, you will receive many fabulose insites simple not available from Bible scholars who don't know the original Aramic language. Summary: Best translation according to the Customs of Jesus' time.
Review: To understand the people of Jesus' time we needed a persona to translate the Bible with full understanding of the people and the customs. George Lamsa is such a person. His translation of the Bible is the most accurate that I have seen. buy it and start comparing passages and understand the true meaning behind mis-translated passages. It will be most enlightening. He also has a book entitled Gospel Light which is a great companion to his work on the Bible.

Review: Too many people think that the New Testament was written in Greek. After reading this translation I see that it was the Aramaic, the language spoken by our Lord.

Review: When I found out about this book I was very excited and curious. I could almost sense a kind of 'Indiana Jones' character in me. Great thanks to Lamsa's Bible I have now done a tiny bit of research and it has been a very interesting and rewarding adventure indeed. I hope you have time for the same! As for the bible I am still happy with my NRSV. God bless!
