Summary: This book is a blessing to me
Review: I started this book and study guide last September and I am participating in a study based on this book. I am amazed at the number of prayers that have been answered for me and for the other woman who are particpating in this study with me. I love my husband more now than ever before and God has really blessed our marriage. I recommend this book to every wife who wants to have a fulfilling relationship with the man that she married.

Summary: A Must for Christian Wives
Review: This book is great! When you're married it's hard to remember to factor God into your relationship--that you're not just in this by yourselves, but that God is always there to counsel both of you. There are many situations in life that a wife doesn't have control over. Often prayer is our only resort. We tend to forget just how powerful prayer is. God really does answer our prayers! And who can you pray for more (besides your kids), than your husband! I highly recommend this book (and The Power of a Praying Parent) to all Christian wives. It could help save your marriage. It's also a great gift idea.

Summary: The hand of God moving across the world on behave of the men
Review: It just amazes me how awesome the Lord is. Continually He shows us His awesome love. Stormie's book "The Power of a Praying Wife" was given to me one Christmas, though I didn't read it. It sat on my bookshelf. I got the idea to begin seeking ways to become a better wife and the material that I came across was shameful. Most encouraged a woman to be someone she was not. This not only caused problems because I was striving to be something I was not but it also caused my husband to become hurt that I was "acting" with him. Our marriage went down hill, it seemed that with each thing I tried the worse our marriage would get. Then one blessed day (a year and half later) I came across the book that had been collecting dust on my bookshelf. I sat to read it and I could not believe how the words in Stormie's book matched my hearts desire for my dear husband. It was not long before I began to see incredible changes in not only my husband and myself but also in our marriage. Since then, the Lord has led me to begin a website for women to find encouragement in their path of praying for their dear husband. There are also studies being held on the net using the "Prayer and Study Guide" that Stormie has written, for us to grow in this calling of lifting up our husbands in prayer. May we all listen to our hearts and diligently pray for the men in our lives as God restores them to the place He created for them to be in. Also, Stormie speaks all over and by contacting her you can see if she can come to speak in your town. I am so thankful to her for serving the Lord in this way, teaching us how to pray for our husbands. Blessings, Kellie

Summary: Learning to walk closer to the Lord
Review: I normally don't participate in the reveiw process, but after reading the reveiws on this particular book, I was led to do so. This is book for any woman, happily married or not. I received this book from a friend for Christmas. I haven't finished it yet, and have already suggested it to my church's Ladies Outreach program. This book has taught me, with the help of my Bible, to pray and clear my heart so that I may better pray for others. It says in the Bible that if you have unconfessed sin in your heart, your prayers won't be heard. Stormie has brought to light the fact that we, as the women and the heart of the family, need to pray for ourselves and clear our heart of unconfessed sin. She teaches us that is important to pray for ourselves. Only by doing so are we able walk closer with the Lord. When our walk with the Lord is right, then it only stands to reason that other relationships in our lives will go better.

Review: I am not yet married, but for the last eight years I have dedicated myself to allowing the Lord to mold me into the woman and wife I will be for my Boaz. I realized too many wait to prepare for their walk in marriage and the outcomes were tragedies. I believe if the Lord has called me to be a wife then I need to learn to walk in the charateristics now. This book has taught me how to build a habit of praying and learning how to discern specific areas to cover my husband. I have also become more intimate with the Lord as He changes me!

Summary: A life-changing book!
Review: A friend sent this book to me and it sat on my shelf for about 3 months. Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. This book is amazing and really focuses on bringing the power of God into your marriage to work through difficulties. Each chapter touches on every aspect of a marriage and is very personable. I had no idea this book would affect me and cause me to change in so many ways. The prayers at the end of each chapter are honest and real. This is truly a gift I will give to all married and actually unmarried friends that I have!

Summary: I only wish I had found this book sooner...
Review: .......When I began reading Stormie's book it was like water to my soul. Because I know everything she is saying is true. And, God has dealt with me, as well, concerning the things that He has taught Stormie. I read it constantly .......and it always corrects my perspective. I wish I could thank her in person for her gift in this book. And I paid under $10.00 for it! I would have paid a lot more to receive the wisdom and revelation that it contains. And it has been a long time (if ever) since I have read a book that gets to the bottom of so many marriage problems, and yet it so easy to read and apply. I keep it always by my nightstand and treasure it beyond words. I, too, want to see God glorified through my husband's and my marriage, and knowing the depth of Stormie's trials and her testimony of how God rescued them, gives me so much hope and encouragment for my own marriage. She (and God) has convinced me not to give up! And I am excited to begin to experience the answers to God's prayers for my husband and marriage, and the blessings that are to come simply becuase I chose to be obedient and pray. Thank you Stormie, again and again. This book was written for "such a time as this" in my life, as well as countless others I'm sure.

Summary: Must Buy Study Guide!
Review: This is an awesome book for marriages of all ages! Please spend the extra money and buy the study guide as well. The study guide helps hold you accountable and helps spark conversation with your husband. Not that I need any help in sparking conversation but I do need help in LISTENING and this book has helped me ask and listen to my husband.

Summary: Amazing Power of Agreement.
Review: I was not really having a major problem in my marriage when my friend recommended the book to me. Howewver, I am one who always wanted the best for my husband and could become smoulthering in the attempt; almost becoming " the Holy spirit" Also due to the nature of my husband's job I find it difficult sharing my hearts deepest pain and longing with even close friends because of the fear of being misunderstood or judged. I therefore found the " Power of a praying wife" to be a great help in talking to God about what I desire to see in my husband rather than nag and manipulate. Of course what begins to happen is the change within me first. I become more relaxed and at peace. I also found that I could even pray prayers of agreement with Stormie( By book proxy.... smile.) I would just say " Lord I agree with my sister Stormie that You will.....( I then pray the prayer at the end of the chapter.)" It has been very helpfull. I am looking forward to praying with other women using the book. I have also learnt to use the book as a spring board and guide. I still need to be sensitive to what the Holy spirit brings to my heart to pray about for my husband. When I find direct application in the bible I will use that first.
