Summary: THIS BOOK HAS CHANGED MY LIFE
Review: We had received a prophecy a few weeks ago at church concerning the calling God had on our lives as a family but there was going to have to be some changes at home. My immediate thought was that was for my husband. NOT so!! The minute I started reading Stormie's book God made me realize that the change had to come on my part as well as my husband's. God said if you come in line where I want you to be as a wife then I will take care of your husband. God can do a much better job at changing my husband than I can. This book made me realize that the greatest thing I can do for my husband is be what God has instructed me to be for him even if he is not doing what he should be doing. I would recommend that every wife read this book - it will change the way you think and act on every situation.

Summary: MUST HAVE FOR ANY WOMEN!!!
Review: Despite 6 wonderful years as a couple (almost 2 married), my husband and I over the past 2 months have come under a lot of stress, frustration, anger, and resentment. Some of it was work related, the other half, was how we were not supporting each other as we needed like in the past. Of course we never planned it, but nontheless, next thing I knew my husband told me he did not know how he felt about anything anymore. While this hit me like a runaway freight train, I tried to "seek some answers" - none of which I seemed to find. Then I found Stormie's book The Power of a Praying Wife. I cannot begin to tell you how this has changed my life, my thinking and my marriage. To quote: "the power of a praying wife is not means of gaining control over your husband, so don't get your hopes up. Its about the opposite! Its laying down claim to power in and of yourself, and relying on God's power to transform you, your husband, your circumstances, and your marriage. This power is not given to wield like a weapon in order to beat back an unruly beast. It's a gentle tool of restoration appropriated through prayers of a wife who longs to do right more than be right, and to give life more than get even. Its a way to invite God's power into your husband's life for his greatest blessing, which is ultimately yours." When I first heard about this book, I was sceptical - I have always been independent (graduate degree, financially secure, did not change my name when I got married etc...) But, I was desperate. My husband and I always shared a close, affectionate lifestyle; hardly any disagreements. But, next thing I knew...things were not what they seemed. I wish I had read this book earlier. It talks about praying for your husband, but there were so many things in there were I realized it was me who was not living up to God's expectations as a wife. As this has helped me...and I have noticed positive changes in my husband, I can only pass my learnings along. If only one person finds this book as beneficial as I have, then I will be elated. For those in marriages, in relationships, or neither right now, I highly recommend this book. It is a good reality check.

Summary: The best resource for EVERY wife, newlywed or not!
Review: My husband and I are Christians and have been very committed to the Lord since the day we met, however, we were fast approaching the seven year itch. I was feeling that my husband could not do anything right. I was constantly picking on him and nagging at him. I was ready to get up and walk out the door and leave him. Then by devine intervention someone gave me this book. As I read the first couple pages I could relate to her disappointment and hurt. As I continued to read the book it showed me how much God our Father loves my husband and like all parents, wants and desires so much for him. I realized how important it is for me not to tear down my husband but in EVERY SINGLE AREA of his life I need to lift him up and pray for him. As I began praying for him my attitude changed and my love for him increased. His response to my change in attitude was unbelievable. Because of my devotion to pray for my husband our relationship is much better. If you pray consistantly for your husband as outlined in this book your marriage will never be the same!

Review: This is an excellent book! Every wife should own and read this book. Both good suggestions and advice on how to follow through. Prayer is a power thing and I know that many marriages would be saved if this book were to be read and applied.

Summary: My heart overflowed reading this. Just what I need!!!
Review: What a book!! The prayers of this lady melted my old hard heart! I would read and read her prayers over and over! How does this woman know MY desires? She, through the leading of the Holy Spirit, understands the needs of husbands and wives. It is so evident how much the marriage as well as the husband, depends upon the praying wife. She saw miraclous changes in her marriage,through the power of prayers, and as she states, she is no more special to God than I am, and I can have the same kind of marriage, which is my heart's desire! God Bless Stormie Omartain for putting her heart to words and being open enough to share her experiences with us! I will read and re-read this book many times. I bought a copy for my three married daughters and some other friends.

Summary: This book is WONDERFUL!
Review: I have been really enjoying this book. I have searched for a good "woman's/ wife's" devotional for a long time and have finally found it. Everyday I read a new chapter and say the prayer provided outloud. I also go back and read the first prayer about being a good wife outloud every day as well. I have to say that I am almost half way through the book and even though I say that prayer every day, I still cry. I have told dozens of women about your book. I have told a number of people that I wish I had enough money, because I would buy this book for every woman/wife I know. Thanks for being so open with your experiences, your joys and sorrows, and most of all for being open to God.

Review: I am reading this book for the first time now. It was a gift to me from a life-long friend. As I worked my way through chapters 1 and 2, I realized that this book was perfect for one of my friends. And, here I am...the cycle continues. What an excellent book. Summary: The gentle changing of a wives attitude.
Review: I saw this book for the first time when I was standing in line at my favorite Christian book store. Two woman were standing in line with me both had this book in their hands for purchase. I asked them what was so great about the book. They said that their church group was using it as a study guide. That convinced me to also buy a copy. My husband and I are newly weds and I was able to contribute a few of our problems to the behaviour of "his" old nature. As I was reading the book I started to pray the prayers and found that I was gently convicted by having to look at my own "old nature". First of all it showed me that I needet to go to God first before I approached my husband when there was a problem. It showed me that I needed to look at my husband with God's eyes and God's heart. Stormie used words that were in my heart as a "desire " and a "need" but was unable to articulate them. God knows the desire of our hearts also the needs that we have as woman and Stormie articulated this so well which allowed me to choose a new language and put away the old way of speaking which was more of a convicting, judging, manipulating and guilt provoking manner. Even though it was a gentle change I was deeply and emotionally moved and found myself shedding tears that had their roots in some serious pain. It gave me some new found freedom and emotional release. Thank you, Sister.

Review: This book has blessed my marriage beyond words. I enjoyed it so much, that up to this point, I have bought and given away 14 copies to family, friends and co-workers. By the time you get to the end of the book, you get such a peace concerning your spouse and all his faults. The book gives you direction on specific ways wives can pray for their husbands. I'm currently reaping the harvest of those prayers. BLESSING TO YOU STORMIE FOR WRITING THIS BOOK. I KNOW YOU WERE LEAD OF GOD.
