Summary: Response to review:
Review: ...Dake is the father of many charismatic Christian movements such as the "Toronto Blessing" movement that was popularized in at the Toronto Airport Vineyard Christian Fellowship. He was also influential on many other movements as well. Not the least of which is the entire Dake-Bonoist revival. This thing is especially important to the young people and I think it is shortsited to discount him outright. Consider what Dake-Bonoism is doing for our young people. It's a religous answer to what the Straight-Edge movement is trying to answer is the modern american punk Scene. This book is the plan. Dake & Bono inclusive.

Summary: A great lesson in logical exposition of the Bible
Review: I have been studying GPFM for about 2 years now, and the knowledge that it gives is absolutely amazing! This book goes hand in hand with the most important book The Bible. Finis Dake has put much effort in studying and teaching the Word of God and in GPFM he helps the Bible student to back up such things as, the Trinity or the time of the second advent. I'm very pleased with this book and I would recommend it to any person who wants an extensive study into the Word of God.

Summary: The best Bible study aid I have ever seen
Review: I have been totally taken away by this book. I originally bought it for reference sake, but now I am reading randomly throughout in order to get revelation and understanding of the Word of God. Dake has divine insight into the Word and a gift for opening it up.

Summary: Great Theologically sound material
Review: I have been using the Dake Annotated Reference Bible since I got saved 10 years ago. Recently I purchased God's Plan for Man, great book. At the moment I am reading straight through and I am only in the first lesson, but as with the reference Bible, it is excellent study material.

As for those who are criticizing the works of Dake, I would tell you like my pastor told me 10 years ago. Chew up the meat and spit out the bones. No, you may not agree with everything, but be like David was concerning Saul, don't touch God's annointed, even if you don't agree with everything he stands for. God Bless

Summary: One of the greatest Biblical study aids ever...
Review: I have used God's Plan for Man for approximately 5 years now and it has been a continual reference to draw from. It also was a great reference to use during my time within our church's seminary school. I originally purchased this from Dake Publishing and then later bought one through another Christian book distributor. I have come to understand the word of God in greater detail and clarity through its use and it truly is like a Bible School in and of itself. The only thing it doesn't do for you is pray for you and read itself to you. Dake does have tapes on his website that are recorded teachings for God's Plan for Man.

We can see the influence of men like C.I. Scofield and Clarence Larkin upon Dake's dispensational teachings (which he refines) and he thoroughly explains each time period, using scripture as the final authority. Many critics do not understand what he taught, have never heard him or seen him teach and would probably be silenced if he were alive today. Those that say he is responsible for certain Charismatic movements or some of their confused theology do not truly know what he taught. God's Plan for Man is that reference and at times I have found it to be more explanatory than the Dake Annotated Bible. It is also strange that many of his critics do not believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, hold on to unconditional enternal security, do not take the Bible literally and may even beleive that the Bible is not inerrant. I personally do not believe in being "slain in the Spirit" and many other confused Charismatic practices. I follow more of the old (think 50 years ago when they were still Holiness) Church of God and Assemblies of God teachings.

I also recommend that folks go out to the Dake.com website for other information, books, tapes and software that have been produced from the information that was compiled by Dake.

Summary: The single greatest Spirit-filled resource!
Review: I like Bono, too, but it matters little what endorsement Bono gives Dake's material, as it stands on its own.

In my opinion, Finis Jennings Dake is the finest Spirit-filled, Faith-oriented theologian/Bible teacher of the 20th century. Although many have set out to undermine the reputation of this dear saint of God and giant of the faith, they can't shut him up; his writings live on, the most prominent of which is "God's Plan For Man."

It's all here--1000 pages of the most concise, balanced, and profound doctrine concerning everything from the pre-adamic world to the return of Christ. There are also hundreds of pages of teaching on the basic "how-to's" of everyday Christian life--how to pray, what promises are available to the Christian today, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, a step by step exposition of the Lor's prayer, holiness, faith, putting complete trust in the word of God, miracles, deamons, angels, and everything else--EVERYTHING!

There are a few teachings that many will be troubled by, but I implore you to read such teachings in the context of Dake's overall view of man and his relationship to the spiritworld, God, angels, deamons, etc. Dake rightly contends that the beings of the spiritual world (angels, demons, and even God Himself) are as real and physical as we are, sighting a limitless number of scriptures to support his teachings.

And that is a point I can't stress enough: Dake profusely refers the reader to the Bible. My guess is he has cited tens of thousands of scriptures. I have yet to read a single claim made by Dake that is not generously supported with scripture.

Although most would use this work topically, I stronly suggest one sit down and read it all the way through. It will take a while, but it will surely be the most rewarding extended Bible study you've ever embarked on.

"God's Paln For Man" is a must for every Spirit-filled believer!

P.S. Get the Dake study Bible, too!

Summary: God's Plan for Man
Review: I received a copy of this book as a gift upon graduation from high school. I spent two years intensively studying it in conjunction with my Bible. It is the most complete and correct biblical guide I have ever found. If you are serious and diligently apply the principles as taught, it will change your life. Signs and wonders will follow.
