Summary: A Grief Observed
Review: There is Eternal Life for Animals: A Book Based on Bible Scripture (by Niki Behrikis Shanahan) offers real comfort for bereaved pet owners of faith. Investigated from a Christian perspective, Shanahan delves into both the Old and New Testament to scripturally make her point: That animals have souls and they will spend eternity with their owners. Using the Scriptures, she discusses how man's sins affected all creatures, she describes a caring relationship between God and the animals, animals in Heaven and how, and how through Christ's sacrifice the animals are also redeemed. She also covers a more secular perspective through near-death experiences where people have witnessed their pets on the other side.Shanahan discusses the salvation of man and animals to convince the reader of an animal afterlife, not to convert the reader. This book will be a real comfort to Christians who have been taught that cats and dogs have no "soul."

Review: There Is Eternal Life For Animals: A Book Based On Bible Scripture by Niki Behrikis Shanahan is a positive, inspiring, and Biblically based examination of God's word about heaven and an afterlife as relates to His beloved animal creations. Backed by numerous scripture quotes and interpretations, Niki extrapolates from the word of God and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that there is hope not only for humanity (if they can repent their sins), but also for the souls and spirits of our beloved animal companions and virtually all living things. There Is Eternal Life For Animals is very highly recommended reading, especially for those readers from a Judeo/Christian heritage and having experienced an affectionate and enduring relationship with beloved animal companions.

Review: This is a wonderful easy reading book for animal lovers everywhere. It proves from a Christian perspective our precious pet's eternal destiny. There are many pet owners that love their companion animals so much and just cannot imagine heaven without them. Because of Niki's research into the original meanings of the ancient Hebrew and Greek scriptures on this topic we can now KNOW for a certainty that our cherished pets just like us have souls and spirits and that they will be going to heaven. Christian or not, this book will be most encouraging and comforting to anyone who has ever lost an adored pet, I know it certainly has helped me.

Review: When I had to have my Rusty put to sleep I questioned if I would see him again. There is Eternal Life for Animals was suggested to me by a friend and I bought it. I found a lot of comfort in reading this book. Niki Behrikis Shanahan backs up what she says by scripture and that is the information I was looking for. I highly suggest this book if you have had a much loved pet die.

Summary: One of the Best Books I've Ever Read!
Review: When I lost my Best Friend, Kiska, to cancer this year, I was devastated. I had read other books on this subject, none so well written as this one. It reaffirmed my belief that God indeed has a place in Heaven for all his beloved creatures of this earth. "There Is Eternal Life for Animals" is a must read for all who love and cherish their pets. This book was a great source of comfort to me and I will treasure it always. Thank You, Niki, for writing this wonderful book.

Summary: The only Biblical reference to animals book you will need!
Review: when we lost our male Chesapeake Bay Retriever in Nov. '03, and while i was struggling with understanding if doing rescue (which i was/am very actively involved in) was one of my God given gifts, one of my callings, or just my own thinking........i went to amazon.com searching. searching for books that would help me and my 3 children see God's instructions ........ on how to deal with our loss, to understand that our beloved pet was not actually gone forever, and to help us all better understand our role as rescuers. was there anything in the Bible that reinforced what i already felt so convicted about?
i bought five different books that came up in my search! however, 'There is Eternal Life for Animals' was all i needed. It was/is an answer to my prayers. it was all right there! everything i've been searching for. everything that i've been asking for from our own church, from other church leaders that were also actively involved in rescue, as well as from fellow church members, and fellow rescuers! it was all right there for me and for me to share with those i asked who had no specific answers. now, i have the answers! thank you so much, Niki Behrikis Shanahan, for hearing your own calling and sharing your gift with others. I will be forever grateful that you took the time and patience, and researched through the Bible, so others could see where God has supplied plenty of scripture for the animals He created.
