Rating: Summary: Romance Novels And Diet Plans??? Review: Does this book invite men to believe all the sterotypes and mthys about women? Are women nothing more than romance driven love sick puppies to Christian men?Wanting to diet ourselves to please their mythical sexual appetite. If so then these men are truly lost. This book promotes myths, recycled myths about women,so the Christian male can pat his little woman on the head and patrize her in the bedroom with sappy "I love yous" and rose peddles. Nowhere is it mentioned that women have temptation other than to please men to get love in return, another myth finding it's way around Christian churches and bible studies. No help for women and temptation, only men have desire and women were created to fill the desires of men. Women have the same sexual appetite yet tell it to any clergy and you're likely to here "are you possesed darling?" I suspect they only believe a woman is capable of sexual appetite if posessed. The book is insulting to women.Women are viewed as sexless, less alive, less creative, less worthy of having a book written for them to explain how to avoid SEXUAL temptation. The greatest fear of a Christian man is having a woman with an appettite,it seems to undermine his myth of headship in the family, what greater threat to this sad mislead man then to find out women have the same needs, and they're SEXUAL!
Rating: Summary: Every Man's Battle: Winning the War on Sexual Temptation Review: Possibly the most candid and straight-forward book I have ever read. A "must" for any red-blooded Christian male who struggles with sexual temptation. This book may have saved my marriage.
Rating: Summary: a challenging and badly needed book for our sensual society Review: This is a terrific book written in an interesting format and very straight forward. The authors cut no corners in addressing these very hard issues. I really appreciate their being vulnerable to their readers and talking about some of their own stories. This will surly encourage men who read this as a group to be open and honest with themselves and other brothers in the Lord. I am now actually reading the book in a small group at my college and we have been blessed both collectively and individually. The time has come for ALL men who name the name of Christ to tear down every idol that pits itself against the person and character of Jesus Christ.

The book is very direct, and not for the sexually timid man. This book can change your life. VERY theologically and Biblically sound. Definitely a MUST READ.
Rating: Summary: Every Man's Battle Review: Some of the guidelines on how to avoid sexual temptation are original, i.e. corral, bouncing, bowls. The bowls idea is absolutely original and profound. This book is down to earth with no psycho mumbo jumbo. It not only explains the why's of sexual temptation but the "how to avoid" them as well. This book revolutionized my husband's and my hope for the future. This book helped us more than our counselor has. This is one of the few books that has addressed how to avoid sexual temptation in easy, simple terms. God bless the authors for sharing in this way.
