Rating: Summary: Definitely not the kind of book I expected! Review: When I first got this book at the library, I was excited because other men at my church were reading it. But when I started to read it for myself, even though there was a warning in the beginning noting the frankness of the book, the book was not only frank but unnecessarily descriptive of sexual images, thoughts, and emotions. I thought that the book could have said the same things but in a different way, namely, a way that was not only edifying, but also in a way that was not going to put dirty thoughts in my head. I also felt that in reading the book, I felt more tempted in the areas the book was supposed to help me in, the area of lust. I know what I struggle with! What I don't need is a description of those things and more sinful habits. I think if Mr. Arterburn wants to do right by struggling Christians, he should do two things: first, keep the biblical principles. Second, take out the smut. Paul, when talking to the Corinthians (a sensual group themselves), preached on their failure to change their improper habits, but he did not broadcast or describe them in detail, for discretion's sake, because everyone knew of them, and were aware of them.
