Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: How many of you have read the Bible cover to cover? Review: Not a lot I bet. So if you have time to read bad fiction written by a friend of Oral (Please send me money or I am going to lock myself in a tower because God will kill me if you don't)Roberts, then you have time to sit down with the one true GOOD BOOK and understand what it really means to be a true Christian -- someone who lives their life according to Christ's teaching of love and forgiveness. If you don't like reading the Bible, then go work in a soup kitchen or work in an AIDS hospice. We are called to live our lives like Christ not read books, poorly written ones at that, that defile his holiest of teachings for profit. I feel truly guilty for having wasted my heartbeats on this book and pray that God will forgive me.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: This Story should have ended 5 books ago. Review: The first few books in the series were good, fast paced, things seemed to happen. Then i think the publishers realized that they had money making machine going, so they made the authors stretch it out. This book is one of the worst offenders of the 12. Without giving too much away, this story could have been told in 150 pages, not 400. The characters just wonder around worrying about when Christ will return for what seems like forever. And it becomes very obvious that there are too many characters as the author bounces back and forth between them to let us know what's happening, well..... it's pretty much the same for everybody "When is he coming? Won't it be great when he does?" This goes on and on for pages. The "ending" doesn't drag as badly as the rest of the book, and I admit that the images portrayed gave me chills as i invisioned myself seeing Jesus for the first time (although i don't plan on being around after the rapture) But since Jenkins has admitted that this ISN'T THE LAST BOOK, there will be another sequel, and another prequel for a total of 14 books, i have to admit that i will not be spending my money on anymore in this series. I can't see what is left to write about for 400 pages (and i seriously don't care) but of course they will find a way to do it, there's money to be made after all! but of course, that's just one man's opinion.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Wonderful Final Chapter Of Those Left Behind! Review: All I can say is: WOW! Talk about a great finale! I began reading this series in mid 1999, right after Book #6, Assassins was released, and have been hooked ever since. I have waited most anxiously for this final chapter, and let me say that it is just great. The BEST book in the entire series! I found it hard to contain the tears as I read about Jesus' Glorious Appearing. We saw his suffering in the movie "The Passion Of The Christ" and now we see a portrayal of His majestic return. This book delivers everything the reader expects, and does not dissapoint at all. I was amused to find out that my guess on which one of the original Trib Force members survived to the end was correct! If you are yet to find out... READ THE BOOK! The battle scenes for the great battle of Armageddon are depicted wonderfully, as is the demise of Antichrist and his hordes, in which part I found myself rejoicing. And of course, the reunions at the end... well, just soooo moving. I also loved that Jerry Jenkins began the last chapter in this book taking the reader to the beggining of the first book... read on! And there's good news to all Left Behind fans: There will be two more books as a part of this series. Watch for the prequel, and a sequel to come out soon (I hope we don't have to wait as long anymore!). A word to believers and unbelievers alike: This is a FICTIONAL series, not a literal interpretation of the prophecies in the Bible. However, they are an excellent portrayal of how things COULD happen. If you are intrigued, and need answers, read the Bible, look for a Christian Church, and find one of the many books on Bible Prophecy that are available. But please don't criticsize the series with no foundation. And most of all, BE READY FOR HIS COMING!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: RECOMMENDATION FROM A FELLOW AUTHOR! Review: I'm not a theologian. I don't have advanced degrees in Seminary. I don't read Greek, Latin or Aramaic. But I do read the Bible. I read it a lot. And I found Glorious Appearing to be a great tool to envision how prophesies of the Bible might occur. As a busy working mom with 3 toddlers, I don't allocate much of my spare time to reading works of fiction...but the Left Behind Series has been well worth it. Glorious Appearing is good. Exceptionally good. Frankly, I had reservations about how the authors would attempt to portray Jesus without committing heresy. Apart from the Spirit of God and the Word of God, it would be impossible to avoid. Jenkins & LaHaye had the presence of mind to stay true to the Scriptures. It's a privilege to call them my brothers in Christ. This is a great book. Get it. Read it and be blessed by it.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Enough already, LaHaye and Jenkins Review: This is the 12th book in series and not a bad one. However is does suffer the same as the previous six and that caused by making the series too long (were to be only six at first). The "filler" in these books causes it to bog for serveral pages at a time and sometimes lessens the dramatic effect. LaHaye and Jenkins are planning, it appears, to have sequel AND a prequel, even though it was promised this was to be the last in the series. I hope it is not for the sake of making a few more dollars, a shame if it is. Remember, even in the Bible, LaHaye and Jenkins, there is even an END TIMES. Time to end this series. I am a believer and quite familiar with the bible, so those people that are new to the bible read the following carefully: These books are fictional and are NOT literal translations of the Book of Revelations.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: A comic book supervillain Review: I don't see how anyone could take these novels' worldview seriously. The "antichrist" is like a supervillain from a comic book. He wouldn't seem out of place as the arch-enemy of the Justice League or the X-Men. People who think that Jesus is going to drop from the sky in their lifetimes to solve their problems are going to die disappointed just like previous generations of simpletons who got caught up in this Dispensationalist nonsense.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The most hilarious book so far this century! Review: I devoured this book. However, because it was so amazingly funny it took me hours longer because I had to take breaks to calm down! I am giggling right now! I found it akin to Catch-22, EXCEPT 10000000 TIMES FUNNIER! How do books like this find an audience? I couldn't believe it, I thought the writers were writing exclusively to me. If you like outlandish humor with no base in reality, check out this amazingly hilarious series!
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Disappointing for the Last Book Review: I have loved the Left Behind series and am looking forward to more in the new series, Babylon Rising. The book did not match the action and suspense with the biblical prophet writing as they have in the other books. As much as I would give the Left Behind series as a whole 10 stars, this final book barely made 3 stars for me. Of course, every series must conclude...
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Not a strong ending Review: This book just didn't live up to my expectations. I still enjoyed it, but it was not as strong as the others in the series.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Add me to the list Review: Add me to the list of people who think The Christ Clone Trilogy and Conquest of Paradise are greatly superior to the Left Behind Series. I still like Left Behind, and I bought Glorious Appearing, because I'm interested in the characters. But as for explaining prophecy, the Book of Revelation, the tribulation, and everything else about the end times, and for telling a story that seems truly real, The Christ Clone Trilogy and Conquest of Paradise do a far better job, hands down! It was fun while it lasted, but I'm ready to move on.
