Summary: From Shiva to Christ
Review: This book is a fascinating account of the life of a Hindu guru and his journey to faith in Christ. I notice a Hindu reader slated the book which is to be expected as the truth tends to hurt! Rabi's descriptions of his fear of the Hindu "gods", especially Shiva, makes for disturbing reading. These unloving gods are contrasted with the true God and His love for sinners. His experiences of supernatural persecution at the hands of "Shiva" (the god of destruction!) gives a strong indication of the real power behind these "gods". On a lighter note his tale of finding out about Santa Claus (who he thought was a god!) is highly amusing. Thank God Rabi escaped from the "god" of destruction into the arms of a Loving, Heavenly Father!

Summary: The truth can be known!
Review: This book is a quick read and a gripping account of a man searching for God. What a testimony to the power of the name of Jesus Christ. Thank you Rabi for sharing your life with us. I highly recommend this book.

Summary: Telling it as it is
Review: This book is a tremendous life story told with amazing honesty and human warmth. It lends a good discussion to the whole question of our existence and who is God.
I'm sure Rabi, the author, knew that he would be in the firing line when he decided to write this book. So why is it that with great boldness he speaks of his life experience? It is easy to slate the truth as propoganda against Hinduism or a certain culture. Fundamentally the book will compel the reader to search his own beliefs and analyse their own journey. Isn't all good literature supposed to do that?
The realisation of truth is not a legacy of a culture, country or race. It is a quest to find the living God.
This book is for all those out there who are genuinely searching for the truth. Cynics can slate this book all they like, but they can't fight with a man's experience and journey. This is Rabi's life.

Summary: A Truthful Personal Account of Mysticism Vs. Christianity
Review: This book tells it like it is. I spent 8 years practicing yoga under a guru. I've met and meditated with many a so-called "enlightened" spiritual teacher. I read this book during that time of my life and couldn't believe how accurately it described my experiences. I know from personal experience that what is told in this book is true. There is a great difference between what is taught about mysticism and the truth. (Mysticism = the teaching that one can attain union with God through spiritual contemplation and self surrender.) This book does a great job of exposing the underlying truth that most don't discover because they don't go looking for it.

Summary: Great Testimony
Review: This is an excellent Tool to reach out to Hindus. They will question your knowledge in their religion and this book gives you the inside. I am an ex-hindu who came to know the Lord Jesus some 15 years ago. Believe me when I say, this is the strongest tool you have when you share the gospel with Indians.

Summary: A good read
Review: When I was at university some 20+ years ago this book was on the hot list of Christian books. Typically I did not read it. Since then I have read it twice - both times it was a good read. It is a mans personal experience - to me it shows the triumph of God's grace. If you are a Chistian you will find it a good read, if you are a Hindu searching you will find it hope from the dead - but you will need to search just a little bit more.
