Summary: A life-changing book
Review: As someone who has suffered in chronic, severe pain for years, Tim writes with a voice of authority. He teaches us how to choose joy in the midst of difficult situations and trust God when life doesn't seem to make sense. Tim is an extremely gifted writer and a spiritual giant.

Summary: Fantastic Book...for Both the Religious and Non-Religious
Review: I first read this book in 1987. Only one or two other books have impacted my life as much as this one has.

While Tim Hansel wrote this book from his Christian perspective, the book goes much deeper than that...from my point of view. Hansel writes about the human experience as effectively as anyone I've ever read.

I am not a religious person...and I continue to share this book with both "believers" and "non-believers."

Summary: When you don't have the words this book does
Review: I give this book to anyone I know who is going through a tough time. It is literally a life changing book. Tim Hansel talks about pain from a personal perspective--one we can't always give our friends. This book is perfect for people who don't have time to read; the chapters are short and to the point. I gave this book to a friend who was hospitalized with cancer and he in turn gave it to the hospital chaplain who ended up ordering 300 copies. This book is that good.

Summary: A life-changing book
Review: I had struggled with depression throughout my adolescence, and into my adult life. Even after the life changing event of becoming a Christian, I still struggled with severe depression. I was in the midst of trying to find answers on how to deal with and get rid of the depression when I came across this book, "You gotta keep dancing". I didn't think much of it, because I had read other books with similar titles, but then I read the first few pages and I couldn't stop reading it.

With this book and the Bible, I found someone [Tim Hansel] who showed me a new perspective on life that no one else had shown me and it turned my world around forever. Now I spend my time trying to help other people deal with their pains in life and I have given away at least 2 dozen of these books to friends and family.

Summary: This book will pick you up and you will be changed!!
Review: I have read and re-read this book over a fifteen year period. I am a person with forms of arthritis. I was and continue to be a man of Faith. The trouble with chronic disease and daily treatment is that God and/or Christ become easy targets. Often over the 17 years I have questioned if God is really there. Another book comes to mind, "Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People?" Tim Hansel writes with a pen that can not be his. Odd statement - NO! I am not a Conservative Christian but this book was written with the Spirit in close contact.
This book is a necessary primer for people that have contracted chronic disease and their families. It is inspiring and gives a path that he took to genuine hope.
When you read this book you will find a man that should not be alive today. There are so many things in the first few pages that will make you wonder how he did it. He is not afraid to place credit where credit is due. He does NOT use typical clichés or traditional victimization cries about poor me. This is real stuff and it is well worth the small amount of money you will pay for it. Buy several and give them to people you know that are struggling through their own difficulties.
You Gotta Keep Dancin' is a book that is an easy read that helps you along the way. It can take as little as a weekend to read or a couple of months. It really depends what you take out of it during the situation you are in currently.

Summary: Life Change Book!
Review: I stumbled on this book somehow at a Christian Confence. Don't what made me pick it up, but I'm glad I did. This book has helped me realize that joy is available to whomever puts his faith in Jesus and really tries to look past obsticals to find what life is really about. I will re-read this book each year - and I'm sure I'll get more out of it each time.

Summary: A book to give
Review: If you have a friend who is going through a tough time this is the book to share. I've given it to people with physical pain and to people with mental pain. All of them thank me.

Personally, I've read it over and over.

Summary: Life changing book shows how to be content in all situations
Review: This book literally changed my life. Written by a man who lives in constant pain due to a mountain climbing accident, Tim Hansel has learned the secret of being joyful. Happiness, he says, is based on circumstances--when good things happen you're happy, when bad things happen you're sad. Joy, on the other hand, is a choice and can be yours in spite of your circumstances. The book also compellingly illustrates how a joy-filled life is possible because Jesus Christ came so that we could have life and have it to the full.
