Summary: Absolutely life-changing!
Review: This work is God-breathed, the best ever to come from Liz Curtis Higgs. Absolutely life-changing! You'll alternately weep, sigh, gasp, rejoice -- and yes, even giggle. And oh, is it filled with depth and grace.

Summary: Grab a veil, sister, and dive in!
Review: What a blessing it is to tell you about "Bad Girls of the Bible"--truly my "heart book," as a writer. I've never cried more, laughed more, or worked harder on a book than this one. I hope my passion for the project comes through! It's both fiction and non-fiction. It's humorous, yet heart-wrenching in its serious moments. You'll meet 10 women I've come to love, despite their obvious flaws--Eve (the First Bad Girl), Jezebel, Delilah, and Potiphar's Wife (all Bad to the Bone), Lot's Wife, Sapphira, and Michal, (all Bad for a Moment) and my favorites, Rahab, the Woman at the Well, and the Sinful Woman who anointed Jesus' feet with her tears (all Bad for a Season, but Not Forever). What an incredible group of women! Each of the ten chapters begins with a contemporary, fictional version of the woman's story, followed by a verse-by-verse Lizzie-style commentary, and ending with some lessons for all of us. Fifty commentaries from the last two hundred years and ten translations of the Bible were at my feet while I wrote...and my hubby Bill, with his Ph.D. in Old Testament Languages, was there with his red pencil, too! Is it funny? Yes...and no. There are light-hearted moments, of course. You know me...I can only go so long without interjecting some humor! But this new title, my 13th book in print, takes my writing in a new direction. It's without question the most heartfelt, the most life-changing, the most important book I've ever written. So...drape on a veil or two, get a reading group together if you like, and step back a few centuries with me to a time when women were either very good, or very, VERY bad!

Summary: A Great Book and Bible Study!
Review: What a special book this is. Friends and I decided to meet together and discuss the chapters of this book as a "light" study for the summer. Although lighter and sometimes humorous, we all gained much from this book, many things we had not known or even thought of before. It is very worth your time. I can't wait for the next one to come out, which I understand is very soon. Thank you Liz!

Summary: Finally! Some women I can relate to...
Review: When my husband saw me reading "Bad Girls of the Bible," he asked me why I wasn't reading about the good girls. The answer is simple; occasionally you learn more from the mistakes of some than from the perfection of others. Curtis-Higgs has written an excellent book. Combining fiction, research, and thought provoking questions, she's provided readers from all kinds of backgrounds, both christian and non-christian, points to ponder. I'm eagerly anticipating the second installment.

Summary: Bad Girls of the Bible
Review: Wow! A christian who has walked where I have walked. I was beginning to think I was the only former "bad girl" in the christian community. This book has changed my life. I related to Rahab. Liz showed me through Rahab's story that no matter what the past, God is a redeeming God. Wow! Rahab went from being an outcast prostitue to the great great great...grandmother of King David....Jesus Christ liniage. God is amazing!

Summary: Excellent Book
Review: Wow! What an excellent book for women. Liz makes the Bible come alive with her modern day story. She explores other women of the Bible beside Esther and Ruth. I am enjoying and growing from this book. I liked it so much that I bought one for my friends. The other thing I like about this book is she interlaces scripture in and out of her view on the story. I am always recommending this book to other women.
