Summary: there's hope for us all -- finally
Review: By far and away, this is my favorite book. It completely personifies all the questions and wonder that i had in my head. I really can't say enough good things about it. One of those books that will change your life, if you let it, and even if you don't, it will at least make you think about the life that you're living. Congratulations to Trina Paulus for inspring us all to fulfill our butterfly destiny. "Without butterflies, the world would soon have few flowers." Thank you.

Summary: Hope for all of us.
Review: I first read Hope For the Flowers when I was 6 years old. At the time I thought that it was the most incredible thing that I had ever seen. At 6 years old that's not saying much. I just turned 28 and I reread Hope recently. I still think it is the most incredible thing that i have ever seen. I would personally like to thank Ms. Paulus for helping to make me into the person that I am today. No single event in my life has influenced me more than Hope. It is a beautiful book written by a beautiful women to share with beautiful people

Summary: Thanks from the author, artist
Review: I am new to the internet, and was delighted to read the appreciative reviews of HOPE. It is a humbling privilege to have been an instrument for a story that has meant so much for people all over the world. The latest report I received personally was from a young woman who used it to teach English in China. It opened up the deeper questions about the meaning of life as well as English. When I think of the massive rush in China towards Coke and Mcdonald's, it was indeed inspiring to think that the little yellow paperback she found on a shelf at the Motorola Corporation headquarters in Beijing has reached thousands with its search for the more of life! This is the 25th anniversary year and I hope to celebrate it with great joy. I have finally taped a reading of HOPE which should be out soon. May we all dare to believe in the butterfly inside!

Summary: A perfect book for anyone dealing with anything at anytime..
Review: In our day and age as or society rolls towards chaos and confusion, it is so refreshing to be able to pick up such an ispirational book written in such a simplistic form and be able to understand some of the most important lessons in life. There are so many hills in our life that we will need to climb and there are so many questions that we will need answers to. This book in the most nursery rhyme method helps give us guidance to some of the most difficults challenges that we will face in life, and keeps us coming back for more. This book was given to me by a child friend of mine and when I was done with it I gave it to my Mother to read. It is truly a perfect book for anyone dealing with anything at anytime.......

Summary: So you thought this was a children's book????
Review: Hope For the Flowers is truly a remarkable book. There are so many lessons to be learned and new ideas that reach out to you each time you open this unique book. I personally reccomend this very highly because it is my favorite book. As the back cover says . . . "a different sort of book for everyone, except those who have given up completely . . ." From the outside of the book you may consider it a "children's book," but I can assure you that there are many concepts that young kids would not be able to grasp, or enjoy fully. This is a wonderful book that gives you a new insite on life!!!!

Summary: Hope for the Flowers
Review: A sweet story about 2 caterpillars who decide to live life to the fullest. This book came highly recommended by my Spiritual Director who used the book to challege me to live a full and meaningful life and not get caught in the "rat race" or a status quo existence. The story is simple, with cute but meaningful illustrations. It is written so that a child could understand it although it carries an adult meaning. It was written in the 1970's and has a revolutionary undertone that is not so useful today, but it's message is still strong and relevant for today's seeker of truth.

Summary: Tender, touching and inspiring!
Review: Hope for the flowers is a book that can be read at many levels, kids will love it as a tender story of adventure, adults will see it a tale of self-discovery. Trina paulus' simple and clear illustrations are a wonderful addition to her simple and clear prose, that conveys the story of 2 caterpillars - Stripe & Yellow and uses their paths in lifes journey to counterpoint against humanity's mad struggle for nothingness.

Trina tells, in simple (not pedantic) words how true happiness lies inside of us, if only we had the courage to look inside and truly see. while this might seem all too complicated a message for kids (and most adults), this book will on the whole be enjoyed by kids and appreciated by adults. much like shel silverstein's works, trina paulus captures the wonder of childhood and tells an inspiring and touching story that will appeal to all.

Summary: Lots to Think About
Review: I've referenced this book in speeches I've given, with particular focus on two specific quotes. One comes when poor Yellow wonders how she can possibly become a butterfly when all she can see in herself is a fuzzy worm; the other comes from wise Grey caterpillar who advises Yellow, "you must want to fly so much that you're willing to give up being a caterpillar." Both are great to demonstrate issues relating to self-esteem, hope, faith, and determination to rise to greatness. There are many, many other themes and concepts that are equally compelling, as well...it's a great book and gives you lots to spin around in your head.

Summary: A lot of hope
Review: "to the "more" of life -- the real revolution" -- from the introduction by Trina Paulus.

Hope for the Flowers is perhaps the most engaging, creative, important book for children and adults alike. The artwork is excellent, the story line is better. This book is philosophy and life instructions at its best.

Hope for the flowers inspires, moves, entertains. It's perfect for any occassion. I received it for high school graduation almost 10 years ago and still go back to it again and again.

It's a tale about not giving up, how sometimes evolving into something else is the best thing of all, and how to get through life's hard decisions and events, everything is better with someone at your side.

Hope for the Flowers is the absolute perfect book. Read it. Buy 10 copies. Give them to all of your friends. Read it again.

Summary: Excellent!!
Review: If you are here, reading this, it means somebody must have told you about this book. They did you a favor, and you should thank them.

Are you troubled by the notion that there must be more to life than what you're experiencing? Not interested in joining a cult or in taking Prozac for the rest of your life?

Two dear friends named Christy and Sherri introduced me to this book when I was 20. Now, fifteen years later, I know they were trying to intervene in what was shaping up to be a disastrous life for me. I wasn't evolved enough to understand them or this book then, but I understand now. This book is a potent starting place for your own personal revolution into a much more joyful, loving place than you have ever been before.

Do you feel like you live in a world that has every material thing to offer, but offers no place just for you? Do you wonder where most or all of your real friends went, and why you can't seem to make new ones? When the alarm goes off in the morning, are you putting your feet on the floor for any other reason than just to pay the bills?

If this sounds like your life, (it was mine for quite awhile), do yourself a favor and buy this book. Sleep with it under your pillow, and read it every morning before you start your day, even if it means setting your alarm 15 minutes earlier. Read it until you have it memorized, then move on to Richard Bach's "Jonathan Livingston Seagull," and from there to wherever you want to go. The path to a joyful and loving and sharing life is walked one step at a time, and "Hope for the Flowers" is as good a first step as any.
