Summary: Changed My Life!
Review: Wow...that's a good word to describe this life changing book. Left Behind made me think about the choices I make each day. LaHaye and Jenkins were able to translate bible prophecy into a believable, modern-day story. I was unable to put it down and found myself thirsting for more. This book caused me to dive into the Bible to be truly fulfilled. Now I know that through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, I won't be left behind.

Summary: An easy read
Review: A friend suggested the first book "Left Behind". I found it to be a very easy to read book. Although the charaters seem to be a little shallow, and the plot at times a little "hoaky", I still recommend the book. The first book explodes at the end and then just leaves you hanging - you'll have to buy the 2nd and then the 3rd and so on.

By the time you've read the 3rd book, the characters are so familiar to you that you'll be wanting to know how things turn out.

Whether you are a Christian or not, this is a great series of books that will entertain you. I didn't feel the message was strong enough to convert anyone to Christianity, but it'll be enough to get you thinking about the end-times.

Summary: Wow!
Review: What a story! Once I started it, I couldn't stop reading. The characters are great! I kept cheering them on and praying for their success. Their interpretation of the Bible is very intriguing. The way they have correlated items from the present from the scriptures of the past is spellbounding. I can't wait to start the next book in the series.

Summary: I'm tiring of the structure and plot, but sticking with it.
Review: A number of people have written reviews here recommending another Endtimes suspense thriller called THE LAST DAY, by Kleier. I didn't read it until I'd finished all the LEFT BEHIND series to date, but when I did, I understood what is missing in the LEFT BEHIND books. I've never read a book that made me feel closer to the real presence of God than LAST DAY. It exceeds the LEFT BEHIND novels on all levels: plot, characters, story line, suspense, and downright fear of God. No, it's not a witnessing tool. Far from it. LEFT BEHIND is better for that purpose. But if you want a novel to make you think, and make you better understand how Man has warped religion away from God's initial design and more toward Man's purposes, LAST DAY will stand the hair up on the back of your neck. I recommend it unconditionally over LEFT BEHIND. In just one book, it covers vastly more spiritual ground than the entire LEFT BEHIND series combined, and that's a fact.

Summary: Reminded me of L.Ron Hubbard's "science fiction"
Review: I bought this book because the premise looked interesting, and thought it might be an complex, intelligent science fiction story. Instead, I found that the characters were poorly developed, the writing was not very sophisticated (long portions of the story are told by long speeches with no logic or explanation) and the dialogue was contrived (e.g., there is a random anti-abortion passage that is plopped into the story with no context). Very disapppointing, considering this could have been a good story.

Summary: Think so?
Review: It certainly attempts to literally interpret a very difficult and symbolic text. I believe a more realistic approach must factually account for how the world is changing and where that change is likely to take us. For non-fiction, I urge all to read "The End of Privacy" by Reg Whitaker. Then take the next step and devout "Transfer-the end of the beginning" by Jerry Furland.

The Left Behind series often left me behind due to the incongruous plot lines. Why do things happen the way they do? Does God have to intervene to move events or does God merely describe what will be? ... THis is not theological Rocket Science....

Summary: Captivating page-turner!
Review: After whizzing through this remarkable book, I hurriedly ordered the rest in the series. I'm on the 5th book in the series now, and continuing to enjoy the writing, characterization, and plot. As a religious Catholic, I could wish my Church were represented more favorably, but that's my only complaint. I heartily encourage anyone to read this book and the rest in the series.

Summary: Should have been left behind
Review: As a believer, I am embarrassed and concerned by this series. The heavy-handed preaching lacks charity, wisdom and literary craftsmanship.

Summary: Gripping Story -- Can't Put It Down!
Review: This series will reach out and grab you! You won't be able to put the books down until you've read them all...and then you'll have to wait until May for the next one! Excellent, exciting characters. Good plot that develops well. Action, adventure, romance, good vs. evil...what more could you ask for?

These books are easy and quick to read; but they'll make you sit back and evaluate your life, too. Do you want to be Left Behind?

Summary: Incredible! Insprational! A work of art!
Review: The Left Behind Series is so wonderful! Each book gets better as it comes! I can't wait for the next 6 books to come out(plus a movie)! Just the people in the books are fiction, but all that takes place will soon come to pass. It is all in a matter of time.
