Summary: If you think this is good, read The Last Day . . .
Review: I read Left Behind, Assassins and Tribulation before I took a friend's recommendation and read another Judgment Day novel, Glen Kleier's The Last Day, which is INFINITELY better. There is vastly more story, provocative thought and soul rattling frights in The Last Day than in any of the above mentioned Jenkins/LaHaye books. That stuff is Judgment Day light in comparison and never delivers the deeper message and tensions that Last Day does. If you must read all these books, do yourself a favor and read them BEFORE you read Last Day, or you'll never go back to them. Last Day gives the whole experience that these lightweight attempts miss.

Summary: Left Behind
Review: This is an excellent book. I couldn't put it down. Not only is it full of suspense but it makes the reader think about their own relationship with God. The characters are great and easy to relate to. I intend to read the whole series. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Summary: This Present Darkness
Review: There is something going on in the town of Ashton. What is it? Evil as great as 1,000 hurricanes. This evil takes many captives and holds on with a fierce grip, but of course, there are forces of the opposite. These other forces, forces of good, know their purpose and know that they are battling with the toughest of the bunch. To further the chances of good winning the war, prayers have to be made. The leaders of the pack are Pastor Hank Busche and newspaperman Marshall Hogan. Hank Busche believes firmly in what he preaches and his constant prayer is like fuel to the side of good. Marshall Hogan is the chief editor for Ashton's newspaper, The Clarion. He knows that things in Ashton are severely abnormal and he wants to know why. Between Marshall and Hank, the evil will surely lose the war. Or will it? I give this book 5 stars because it gets better with every written word and it always keeps you wondering: Who,What,When,Where,Why, and How. Take my advice and read this book.

Summary: ...
Review: When I was in school my english teacher always told me to make up my own mind when meeting a new person or reading a book. I have just spent the last half hour reading others reviews on this book. Some would say that all those who say the book is good have to be somewhat of a Christian and those who did not like it must not be. I really enjoyed this book and the others in the series also. It spoke to my heart. The people in the book are represented to be real people with the same everyday cares and concerns as we all have and then boom the world changed on them. Sure they heard that it might happen, that someday the world would change so drastically that you could not hide from the truth. This is what I feel the message behind these books are: you can not go to heaven because you are a good person, you have to make a concious choice to live your life in a different way. If you are open to that you will enjoy this book. If you are not open to the fact that the way you live your life needs to change then you will find it boring, slow, full of propaganda and you will find the characters unrealistic. All books, music and movies give you what you are willing to put into it. So open your mind to the possibilities, open the front page of this book and see for yourself how you would judge this book. But don't forget this is your future too.

Summary: Awesome and thought provoking
Review: This book was one of the best Christian fiction books I've read. It sticks true to Revelations. By the way, the number 144,000 refers to those who are Jewish converts after the rapture, and not to the number of people in the rapture. The last is aimed at Mr. Obnoxious.

Summary: AWESOME!
Review: This book has intrigued me and awakened me. Time for a reality check. I hope those of you who read this will pray for me to seek God, to give up my sinful nature and to pursue righteousness through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The only reason I am still alive today is because people did not give up on me and kept me in their prayers. I'm hoping that I can lead the life God intended for me to lead, but I know I won't be able to do it alone... this book so much as reminds me of that very fact... without HIM we can do nothing.

This book has opened my eyes to the possibilities of the future of our world. The storyline may be fiction, but the basis is the truth. I don't see the point in arguing theology, everyone seems to have their own interpretation of the 144,000. I just seek to know the truth.

Summary: Disgruntled
Review: I had a hard time putting the book down. It was very riveting and intriguing.

I can see why some people might be disgruntled after reading this book. If I thought that I might be a candidate for being "left behind" I probably would be disgruntled too. But who are we (finite beings that we are) to tell an infinite God who He can chose and who He can't chose!

The book was very well written. In my opinion, it was not disjointed at all. Sure there were a number of plots that were being woven together to make an integrated whole. That just made it all the more interesting and hard to put down. If a reader is only capable of following one plot at a time, then maybe they should stick to reading comic books.

Summary: Magnificent!
Review: I recently read a review of someone who was completely disgusted by this book. I immediately told Amazon that that review was NOT helpful to me. In fact, that review DISGUSTED me! I couldn't believe what this person was saying! I usually don't say if a review was helpful to me, but this chance I simply couldn't resist.

I read this book back in 1999, and I could not put it down! In fact, when I saw a movie one night, I actually brought it with me to read in the theater (before the movie started though, of course)! And the fact that so few people were taken (or will be taken) hit me like a ANVIL! Can you imagine just a few million people, out of about seven billion, truly believe in Christ? But, when I thought about it, it started to make sense, seeing as how people all over the world don't give a darn about anything.

Now, I will admit that there were a few places in the book where it partially dragged, but that just makes the exciting parts better! And when you reach the end, you will see that it was all worth it (reading through it all), even if you thought it was boring.

If you read this book, when you are dome I guarantee you will ask yourself, "Am I a really a true believer?" (And if you don't, please write your own review and criticize me.)

This book is one of the best books and one of the most compelling... no, the MOST compelling book I have ever read in my entire life.

Summary: I wish there was a choice of 0 stars
Review: First of all, the writing was boring and didn't flow naturally. I forced myself to keep reading. I've only ever had to do that one other time (with an Elizabeth Hand novel).

Second, I was totally amazed with this book. I loved the part where an entire stadium full of people, and all the players (except one "heathen") at a Christian school disappeared all at once. I'm being facetious.

I keep wondering what happens to all Jewish people (the chosen race, according to the Bible I grew up with). What about Mormons? Muslims? Are we so arrogant as to limit God's acceptance of different forms of worship? I, for one, as a believer in God, will NOT commit blasphemy and pretend to know the mind of God and what He will do.

I found this book to be obnoxious; it didn't have either a Christian or Sci-Fi feel to me. It was just boring....
