Summary: I Like The Left Behind Series!
Review: My son, who is a pastor, told me about this series of books and I have really enjoyed them! I have just ordered "Assassins" tonight. This is fiction, but the Biblical references are very good. I have read this entire series thus far in a few weeks. It is interesting, can't put the book down reading! I am sending the books that I have read so far to my sister! I think that these books are great for those of us that have stayed away from the Book of Revelations of the Bible because we were afraid or we just couldn't understand the symbolism. Reading about it as it happens from the perspective of the fictional characters is a great way to learn more about the Rapture and what will follow. These books have really made me decide that it is best to be ready and go in the Rapture! I also think that this series of books is appropriate for summer reading for teens and teachers. Young and old will enjoy these books!

Summary: the worst of the series
Review: I know it's kind of ironic, but this was the worst of the first 6, but you still need to read it to understand them. You have to give it some credit, because this is where we meet everybody, and learn of what's ahead. So, I would read it, it just might take you a while to get through it.

Summary: Even more wonderfully bad than I expected!
Review: Unbearably stupid and worthless as fiction. There is no description of anything, and this Antichrist person is constantly described as 'eloquent' instead of shown to be eloquent through his dialogue. The worldview of the authors and their fans is morally repulsive, shockingly ignorant and lacking in any kind of humanity or humility. If you have half a brain and enjoy being made sick by the stupidity of people who are little more than apes, read this book immediately. You will be squirming on your couch in teary-eyed hysterics.

Summary: A good read but not great literature
Review: I picked up this book after it had been recommended to me by a friend. While I enjoyed it and it made for a very fast read I have to admit the writing could be a little corny at times. And although it had the tendancy to get preachy, it's easy to see why when you consider the subject matter and the author. It also seemed a bit shortsighted at times. With all the volumes of books that are being written in the series... I would have liked to hear a bit more about what happens to all the other people in the world... not just the 4 main characters (who all happen to be christian). I would have liked for the authors to cover more perspectives and points of view. I have to say, however, that there were moments in the book that moved me very much and it did bring perspective to my faith. Overall I liked the book... but it's not exactly stellar literature. A much more well-written book about this subject is the Stand by Stephen King....

Summary: LEFT BEHIND A++
Review: My boss told me to pick up this book, read it and watch it change my life. Quite the doubter, I didn't think about his recommendation again until I was stuck in the MLPS airport for 3+ hours. Started reading the book on the plane and I was unable to put the book down. I was especially surprised at the impact this had on my life. Great writing, great concept, great book. I am hooked and can't wait to start reading book #2.

Summary: Amazing
Review: the book challenged my own beliefs in the Lord. it was a book unlike any other book i have read. it involved drama, mixed with a little bit of adventure. i personally thought it was excellent. it was sort of mysterious in the beginning, finding out who were the good characters and who werent. but all in all it was good, with some bad parts, but still good. im not a very religious person, but im sure hooked on this series

Summary: Shell Shocked, Amazed, and thinking even harder now...
Review: Either you'll love the series or you'll hate it. If you hate it, read it again! This powerful story begins today and makes you think the whole way through.

This book is far from the absurd. Do yourself a favor and appreciate the books for what they stand for! You don't have to assume that this is the exact truth of the rapture and the years to follow. Just try to imagine it being close to the truth.

LaHaye & Jenkins didn't invent the idea of the rapture... they simply intensify the message!

Summary: Cliched idea, lost in poor writing
Review: I was shocked how poorly this book was written, and that this book was published at all!

It sets an ambitious agenda, to portray the post- Apocalyptic world, but then proceeds to fail miserably in execution. For example, what happens to all those in prison? With many cops gone, what's preventing the breakdown of social order and rise of military regimes? Who'll clean up all of the dead and dying? Where is the mass hysteria that's certain to rise in such situations?

The card-board characters are so poorly portrayed that the reader cannot sympathize with them even at the scenes designed to be tear-jerkers.

Don't bother with this book, but if you're interested in the theme of "end of world", then don't miss Stephen King's "The Stand", which will leave behind "Left Behind" by a light year.

Summary: You ain't seen nothing yet
Review: This is the first of 6 riveting books that once you pick up, you won't be able to put down. I was sold after Chapter one of this book. It's easy to follow along and doesn't skip around near as much as a few other christian fiction books. This is the Manual for those who will be left behind....you know who you are. Please, pick up a copy today, it'll change your life. Finally, praise God for his amazing grace. May you all be led into the peace and power of God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
