Rating: Summary: A very good story Review: I thought this book was quite interesting. The rapture idea has never really been written about this way before, as far as I know, and the authors did a great job projecting what the world will be like. The characters are very well fleshed out and fun to see interact, a notable example is Nicolae with his beguiling charm. The only realy knock I found was the ad at the back asking if I had been left behind and needed more info about Jesus. I think the story is great and the whole religiousness of it, though quite apparent, didn't bother me until that ad telling me that I needed to be saved and it left a sour taste in my mouth.
Rating: Summary: The book of Revelation for real life Review: I, as many other Christians, found Revelation daunting. I have read it, put it down confused and hoped in my heart it wasn't literal. Upon stumbling upon Tim LaHaye & Jerry Jenkins' novel, Left Behind, I could finally get a grasp of Revelation through the glimpse of modern-day and real people I could relate to. I recommend it to Christians who are firm in their faith, as well as those who are not sure about Christianity - it is an enjoyable and thought-provoking read either way.
Rating: Summary: Left Behind Review: This book is a marvel and is the kind of reading which is way over do in book stores. I couldn't put it down. The author's truly bring human qualities out in their characters. Don't be left behind. It is a must read!
Rating: Summary: To Good To Be True! Review: This book was so amazing and excellent that I read the whole thing in two days! Unable to put it down I could not have been more impressed with any other book like it. It was very detailed yet was touching enough to turn my life around. It gave me a picture of what was happening so clear I had to purge myself from the book just to remind me of true reality, not only that but gave me a new perspectuve on life. I can't wait till' I read all of em'!
Rating: Summary: GREAT: TWO THUMBS UP! Review: I loved this book, it was great. I couldn't believe how well it was written for being the first book in a series. I'm now in book four "Soul Harvest." I have loved all of the books thus far, and I am looking foward to future reading within the series! ++
Rating: Summary: All should read and heed Review: I have read each book in the "Left Behind" series. I am an avid believer in the Bible and that it is the inspired word of God. I have come to believe that the "Left Behind" series, (though it's characters are fictional, it's foundation is Biblical,) is an "INSPIRED" writting. I would highly recommend this series to anyone, believer or not, who is in search of the truth about how things are to be in the end times. If, like myself you have ever read the book of Revelations but did not understand it, this series will bring what you have read to light. If you read this series with an open mind and a searching heart, it will inspire you too...
Rating: Summary: so many Christians? Review: Is it just me or did anyone else think it was so odd that so many people disappeared from the Earth? While I never got a count, it seems it was a substantial number to cause so much chaos. however, by the guidelines the authors set forth to qualify as a real Christian, I seriously doubt more than 1 percent of the Earth would be welcomed into Jesus's loving arms.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book! Review: This is a very well written story from any point of view. The story grabs you from the first page and holds on untill you've read the last page, and didn't realize it. I would recomend this book to anyone who enjoys fiction and/or religion. The only reason anyone would slam this series is if it hit too close to home.
Rating: Summary: ..Interesting reading Review: After noticing a friend reading "Tribulation Force"(Book 2 in the Left Behind Series) I decided to pick it up. I willadmit, I am not a religious person, and was prepared to "shut out" any religious overtones that I picked up in the book. But, to be honest, I was more pulled into the storyline of the book. Though slow at times and a bit too quick in other parts. I could see myself recommeneding the series to someone else. If you are interested in a thoughtout series, they this could be the one for you.
Rating: Summary: Love it! Review: I've read all the books in the series (7 at this point) and have to say my life will never be the same again. Loved them so much that I even read "Left Behind, The Kids" series. Granted, the writing is not a 10, and I was a little irritated by how the females were portrayed but the books are still great and I can't wait to find out what happens with the characters. I read some of everything, by some of the "best" authors but nothing has ever induced me to reevaluate how and what I felt about GOD and this series has.
