Summary: Understanding End Times Events
Review: Left Behind, as the first book in the "Left Behind Series" introduces us to the end-times events as outlined in the Bible. While it is true that the Biblical events are subject to much interpretation and debate, I feel that this book, and the ones that follow, portray one of the many possibilities of the timing of those events in a manner that makes it easy for the average person to understand. These books portray the pre-tribulation rapture theory, and the events that follow in such a way that even a post-tribulation rapture theorist will find entertaining, and possibly provide insight into the beliefs of other theories.

Summary: Left Behind: A Novel Of The Earth's Last Days #1
Review: I am 59 years old and a Christian. This book and the eight that followed has had more of an impact than any book that I have read other than the Bible on my life as a Christian. I realize more than ever how important it is to testify to others to give them eternal life & rescue them from Satan. The first book was so intense that I had to read a book that was light before I started on the 2nd one.

Summary: Exorcist, Omen move over!
Review: At last biblical fiction that equals or surpasses the historical fiction writers like Doctorrow. Finally, someone has written a story based on the Bible's end times prophecies and done their research. The authors, LaHaye and Jenkins are obviously biblical experts and know their subject well. The amazing end time prophecies written over two thousand years ago contained in the Bible are taken and woven into a story that contains interesting characters that will cause the reader to emotionally invest themselves. By the end of the novel you're left wanting more and are encouraged to look at the original source material- the Bible.

Summary: Where did they Go
Review: Book for all types of Christians! This book brings out what it says in the Bible. In Revelations, it talks about what will happen in the end times. This book makes it all so much easier to understand. Although, there are details that may not be true, such as the cloths being left, it still tells a lot of things the Bible says.
The story starts off on a plane. You are introduced to a pilot, a flight attendant, and a news reporter. The story follows the three after many people disappear. It tells what the three think happened. The reporter is writing a story about what people think happened. There is also a man that some believe to be the antichrist. He has risen in power very quickly. The reporter has also been working on a story about him. The pilot believes that God took his believers to heaven and has become a born-again Christian. The flight attendant is not sure what happened and talks to both men. What will happen between them?

Summary: It's interesting.
Review: I am not a Christian and my friend lent me this book to read. 3 months later I was able to finish it. For me the book was not the kind that I couldn't put down but I would read it on the subway or in the bathroom. So whenever I was bored I would read it.

The first chapters were very interesting when the disappearances began and all the commotion was going on. I thought the book was thought provoking. It made me think about what all those hardcore christians were going through thinking that the end of the world is coming.

It hasn't converted me to Christianity but it had certainly enlightened me on "Rapture." As I read the past reviews, I would agree that this book is on a 6th grade reading level. I would not recommend buying this book but I would recommend that you check it out from your library.

I enjoyed the book but would not shell out money for it. I might check out the video out of curiosity and if my friend has the rest of the series then I will borrow them from him.

Summary: Disapointing
Review: This book simply trades in on the genius of the Bible, it doesn't bring anything new to the table. I was drawn to this book because of the quality of other endtimes novels, mainly We All Fall Down and The Christ Clone Trilogy, but there really is no similarity between those novels and Left Behind except Revelations. We All Fall Down is full of brilliant insights and fabulous writing Christ Clone is analytically impresive. Both authors made me look at both myself and the Bible in new light. Left Behind is poorly written and doesn't have anything new to say. The only thing interesting about this book is the subject matter, and the author's can't even claim that. If I were you, I'd avoid these books and stick to some of the other novels that tackle the subject with intellegence.

Summary: Great Series
Review: Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down until it was done. All the books are like that and I can't wait until the next one comes out. From a Christian or even non-Christian view, these books have an interesting plot, are suspenseful, and leave you hanging. Although this get's slightly annoying when you have to wait a few months for the next book to come out, it's highly worth it!!!

Summary: Much better than I had expected
Review: I received this book as a Christmas gift from my fiance's mother. I had tried to read it, not getting past the first few pages. I came home from work one day, and picked it up mainly out of curiosity. I finished it two days later.

This book, and series as far as I can tell, is one of the best I have ever read. Considering that I've been reading for about 22 years, I think that says something. Wether or not you are a Christian, this book will suck you in. It did me, and I haven't been able to put them down since I started.

The other thing, about this series, is that it has made me think. I have a seven year old son, and I wonder what would happen to us if the Rapture actually *did* happen. Would he be taken, would we be together? Where would we be? I really enjoy books that make me think. I would suggest this series to anyone, and I plan on starting my son on the Left Behind: Kids series soon.

Summary: Excellent
Review: What an eye opener for non-Christians. Great fiction but believable. Characters are easy to become attached to.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Intriguing
Review: This book does a great job of putting things into perspective. For many it is hard to imagine the magnitude of Christ's second coming. But LaHaye & Jenkins seem to put everything into a clear view. You can almost imagine the event taking place. It is as if you are there personally, experiencing everything first hand. It is scripturally sound with what is written in the books of Revalation & Daniel. I strongly encourage any and all Christians to read this book. Especially if you are on shaky ground with God, this might be the inspiration you need to be able to put an anchor on your faith and stand firmly on the Rock of Salvation, Jesus Christ.
