Rating: Summary: Excellently written, solid, fast-paced, Christian fiction! Review: Anyone who has not yet read this book yet, I would highly recommend it to you! This is a great book for young and old alike, and I can't wait to read the next books in the series! This book is also an excellent way to lead people to Christ. Just have a non-Christian friend read it, and it will seriously get their mind working about coming to Jesus, and about what the Rapture is going to be like. And the torcherous happenings after the Rapture. As I said before, young and old folks will like this book very much. It's very well written, and reads like a bullet almost! Once again, to all Christians, read this book!!!
Rating: Summary: Great reading that will completely occupy your mind & time. Review: No one truly knows what is to be expected with the coming of our Lord. But to read the Left Behind series makes a person wonder how much truth is in the words of the writers. While reading the series of books, you not only get a great story but a lesson in Revelations. I followed along in the book of Revelations as I read the books. I have learned a great deal about the bible, yet I have long way to go in my studies. For anyone who decides to take part in a great construction of literature, I can promise you that you will be unable to put the book(s) down. Great reading and God bless you.
Rating: Summary: My favorite book ever!! Review: This book and Tribulation Force and Nicolae are the best ever. A MUST READ. I'd be careful about using it as a witnessing tool--Christians aren't supposed to scare others into salvation!!!! I wish all seven books were out. This book made me start reading a lot more.
Rating: Summary: Great book, but who's afraid? Review: The negative reviews of this series are, in part, valid. The writing is plain, erratic and lacks fluidity. However, the power of the message negates any affect the mediocre literary style might otherwise have on the reader. This is an exciting, thought provoking story. It made me ask, "Would I be left behind?" And, it has made all of my friends ask the same question. We love it! One note to the critics: a convicted, believing Christian does not fear the rapture. Rather, we look forward to this event as it marks the return of Christ to reign on earth once again.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Review: By far the greatest representation of the RAPTURE of the CHURCH that I have ever read. Not only did I read this book in 3 days, but I purchased TRIBULATION FORCE and began reading it with the same ferver. The way the authors bring you into the story line is amazing. I feel I know each of the characters personally, even Nicolae Carpathia. This book is not just good reading, but MUST reading. I have loaned this book to my non-believing friends. They are enthrawled and ask me questions about the RAPTURE. What a wonderful way to SHARE the GOSPEL.
Rating: Summary: Can't put it down!!! Review: This is a must read for all believers in Jesus Christ. It will definitely encourage one to spread the Gospel to those without Christ. A sobering message for our day.
Rating: Summary: STUNNING! Review: Left Behind is a stunning depiction of the first weeks of a post-Rapture Earth. The images and emotions were so real and so plausible that the book was almost impossible to put down. I just finished this book less than 30 minutes agon and I am on line to order the second installment right away!
Rating: Summary: Interesting STORY, but not great writing Review: I began reading the "Left Behind" series with a bit of apprehension, thinking I would probably come across blantant "my religion is right and yours isn't" attitudes. Unfortunately I was not mistaken. I have read all three available books, and I am really not sure I will be able to stomach another one, much less all four of the coming sequels for the following reasons. 1. The story is very interesting, but the writing is poor. The characters are flat, and the way they all come together is a tad contrived. The "love stories" within the story are obvioulsy thrown in for popular appeal, and the constant reminiscings of the characters back to how their story started are annoying. The writing is typical of a book written for a grade school audience. 2. I do not deny that the story told could actually happen, but I have a big problem with the fact that this story was obviously written to scare people into converting to the religion of the authors. 3. I have to just come right out and say that I am a Catholic, and I was totally offended by the portrayl of a particular Catholic who was left behind. No religious denominations are mentioned in the books besides the Catholics and the Jews. When you get right down to it, Jesus was born a Jew and He started the Catholic Church. All other Christian religions from that point on have broken off of the Catholic Church. I believe that God put us on this earth with a Free Will to decide what kind of person we want to be. I refuse to believe that He will only allow into Heaven those of us who have been "Saved" into a particular religion. Having said all that, these are not the worst books I have ever read. I chose to read them as a story rather than a prophecy, and as a story they aren't bad, even if the writing isn't superb. These books will cause you to think and take stock of your relationship with God, regardless of your religion.
Rating: Summary: One of The Best Review: I have to say this book is one of the best Christian based nolels I have read in a very long time. This book has everything. Even a little romance. I'm not really sure what the end times will be like. But this is a great fiction book and to anyone who have not read the other two Tribulation Force and Nicole you really should check them out. I am counting the days till the next one come out!
Rating: Summary: Great books, can't wait for the next in the series Review: I have been reading these since they first came out and just yesterday the fourth in the series(Soul Harvest) was released. I'm already finished. I'm 16 and love to read. Besides this series I also enjoy Frank Peretti, another great christian author. The book of Revelation has always intrigued me and I think they did an excellent job of interpreting it. You can be a skeptic if you wish but I am not going to be here when it happens because I'll be with Jesus in the air. So remember be prepared because even if he doesn't come during your time you will still die. Oh and one more thing the greatest book ever that will explain all of this and more is always the bible.
