Rating: Summary: EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS BOOK BEFORE ITS TOO LATE! Review: Left Behind was an intriguing detailed book, Bible based, of what I feel in my spirit the end will be. It leaves nothing to your imagination, you must believe to receive.
Rating: Summary: Suspenseful Christian Reading! Review: Left Behind is a suspenseful work that will make you reevaluate your thoughts on the end times. We follow the lives of four people left behind after Jesus raptures his church. We learn of the heartache of losing family and friends in a blink of the eye. How will they go on? How will it effect their thoughts on religion? The pace of the book will keep you from putting it down. It also will leave you wanting more. Thankfully there is more, this is only the beginning of a seven book series. I have read 3 so far and am anxiously awaiting to read the next.
Rating: Summary: It makes you stop and reconsider your beliefs. Review: I'm not an active christian but this book changed the way I think and believe. My life needs a change of direction and no one else has the answers. But God alone.
Rating: Summary: a most exciting, realistic ...keeps you on the edge... Review: This book is the most exciting, realistic and aplicable perception of the last days as predicted in the book of Revelations (Bible). It keeps you on the edge of your seat from page one, and keeps you going on an spiritual roller coaster. By the end of it...one can only thirst for the truth and run to read and confirm for oneself what the Bible says and how it relates to oneself personally. ***** Most exciting book I've read in years!!! Don't let this story pass you by.
Rating: Summary: Riveting. A real fictional thriller of the last days! Review: LaHaye and Jenkins have obviously done their homework. Though many portions of the prophetics in Revelation are widely debated, they have centered on the interpretations most widely held for the tribulation and the rise of the Antichrist, while summarily leaving out details on the "how" of the rapture of God's people. Excellent plot development, though at times the dialogue gets lengthy and it is difficult to keep up with who is speaking. Definitely an attention grabber!
Rating: Summary: Not just another end-times book for Christians. Review: Wheither you believe is Christ, Mohammad, or UFOs, this is a well thought out, researched, and imaginative book. Not every Christian will agree with every premise in this book, but that's not unusual. The characters, plot development, and mystery unfolds as you turn the pages faster and faster. By comparison, Brad Steiger's new book Alien Rapture is the alter-alternative to the Christian Rapture with a great sinister government woven in. Being a student of theology, I have read both books numerious times. I loan them out as a pair. Yes, indeed, buy it. Unusual and excellent reading.
Rating: Summary: A great book, both energetic and emotional! Review: How can I describe this book? From the very first page, I knew that I would have trouble putting this one down! But, my purpose here is not to shower it with praise, as it certainly deserves. I am writing about its biblical accuracy. Please don't replace your bible with this book. Left Behind and the others in this series were not written to be used as reference material. God wrote the Bible not just for the writers, just for a doctor of theology, and certainly not just for me. It was written for everyone on earth and everyone will have a different interpretation of the end times. No one's opinion is necessarily correct. What I am trying to say is that the authors shouldn't be labeled as misleading, as some people I know already have. This set of books is their own opinion and it should be respected. Also, the readers shouldn't take this set necessarily to heart. These books are novels and can never replace what is stated by the biblical truth. All this aside, enjoy the books! They are among the best I've ever read! They are real eye-openers, so don't miss out!
Rating: Summary: TOO good to put down, Great reading, Really makes you think. Review: There are three more books in this series and it's exciting reading. If you haven't read Revelations, now is the time! This book is great reading for Christians and Non-Christians.
Rating: Summary: Gripping, extremely well done. Very believable & likely. Review: I'm not a frequent reader, but in a lifetime of half and partially read books this one took me on an adventure I couldn't hardly put down. 468 pages in about 36 hours is a life record for me. A masterpiece in adventure and an anchor to believers. You'll enjoy this if you like living drama and incredibly accurate prophesy unfolding before your very eyes.
Rating: Summary: Best book I have read in a long time. Review: This book opened a gate for me to reading Christian Fiction. The books in this series are like potato chips, you just can't stop with one. I am going crazy waiting for the next one!
