Rating: Summary: Great story if it weren't for the "Scare Tactics" Review: I received this book as a gift and even though the writing style is somewhat "High-schoolish" and some of the characters are rather soggy and one dimensional, I enjoyed the story. The story line is intriguing and inspite of a few spots that drag, one wants to see what happens next. Too bad the story is used to cloak a "scare tactic" approach to selling Christianity. The authors seem to be trying to convert the reader to their brand of religion. I will probably read the sequels, because I'm a sucker for a cliff hanger; which is how this book ends. I just hope that I can wade through all the "only born again Christians are holy and righteous" rhetoric.
Rating: Summary: Not well written but an excellent message Review: While the actual writing style seems as though the book came from the young adult section and many of the characters are shallow and underdeveloped, the book still carries an important message. It is easy reading and each moral and lesson is spelled out for the reader. However, one is still able to feel the heart behind the plot of this frightening and hopeful tale and the idea is a very powerful one.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely awesome! Only problem is I couldn't leave my car Review: I have read/listened to many books on a massive number of subjects. I am also a writer - poems, novels and short stories. This book is incredible! I have been a Christian since I was 5 years old. Even though this is fiction, it really fits what the Bible says will happen during the rapture and can be used to help the people on the fence regarding where they will spend their eternity. If you accept Christ now - life goes MUCH EASIER! If you wait till after the rapture - look out! There will be massive pain and problems, if you get there at all.READ THIS BOOK - READ THE BIBLE!
Rating: Summary: fascinating! Review: The book is really well written. Anyone can pick it up, read the story and come away with a different prospect on the last days. I read this book in 2 days and I could hardly wait to get the next installment!
Rating: Summary: Left Behind almost made earths last days inviting. Review: For 486 pages I couldn't wait for the end to finally come. A religious experiance was missed and the excitement of the comeing of the end of the world could of come in alot less pages. Trite and boring from cover to cover.
Rating: Summary: "I couldn't put it down!" Review: I got so intune with the authors I couldn't hardly put it down! I love this book and rushed out to the store and bought the next one in the series; The Tribulation Force. This book has changed my whole view on life itself. It has made me realize that the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ is close at hand. I warn anyone that doesn't read this book; they should!!! I would've given this book 10 stars if i could have!
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT BOOK - YOU MUST READ!!! Review: This is one of the best series I have ever read. It really is an eye opener. I borrowed the book from a friend of mine, and read it in less than 24 hours. The next day I went and bouught the next two books, finished them on the following day, and then went and got the forth book (finishing it the same day). It is excellent reading and I HIGHLY recommend it to both Christians and non-Christians. If you have put God on the backburner in your life, you won't after you finish reading this book
Rating: Summary: Fascinating read! If you aren't a believer, read this book ! Review: I am a born again Christian and found this fiction book to answer some "what-ifs" about the times we are living in. A very entertaining read. Want to leave these lying around for those that WILL be "left behind".
Rating: Summary: Just what I expected! Review: After reading the first three books about three or four times each, I was eager to read Soul Harvest. Wonderful is all I can say :) I kindof expected the action to die off a little in this one as the seriese gets closer and closer to the end. There's only three books left after this! The calm before the storm, so much still has to happen and what better way to introduce it in the next book then leave the reader wondering. Like does Amanda really work for Carpathia? I must say, I'm waiting as patiently as I can for the next book!
Rating: Summary: A GREAT READ. Review: THIS BOOK PRESENTS A SCRIPTURAL TOPIC WITHOUT IT BEING PREACHY. IT IS DONE IN AN EXCITING AND READABLE FORMAT. IT IS ENTERTAINING AND STIMULATING WITHOUT IT BEING MELODRAMATIC. A GREAT WAY TO SHARE THE GOSPEL AND LET THE INDIVIDUAL MAKE THEIR OWN DECISION.
