Summary: Excellent
Review: A novel that combines Biblical prophecy with a great story line -- very entertaining as well as educational. Definitely provides food for thought.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Pretty fair reading. Though slanted to one viewpoint.
Review: I thought the relationships were a little simple minded but it was still readable. I liked Steiger's new end times 'Alien Rapture' which fits my own personal beliefs. Pick a view point and you can find a book on it on amazon.com. This is a pretty good book.

Summary: A must-read, excellent, a page turner
Review: The story grabs you from the very beginning and does not let go. The characters are real, their situation believable. It has been years since I have been so engrossed in a series of books that I have four in one week. Highly recommend Left Behind as well as the other three books to follow. It is masterful and most thought provoking .. a must read for all believers and non-believers.

Summary: This book gives the reader not only a suspenseful story
Review: This book gives the reader not only a suspensful story but a message that cannot be ignored. I read the first three books in a matter of days. I couldn't stop thinking about the message it gave and if I were prepared should Jesus Rapture His people in the next second. While not a "Born again Christian", I am a Christian and felt that this book was a very refreshing change from the most other books on the best seller list selling nothing but murder and sex with nothing else to offer.

Summary: This is a good book!
Review: If you have ever wondered what it could be like at the end of the world, this is a great example. It has action, drama, and comedy. The characters are very believable. If you are a Christian, this book is a great example of how we will be taken home. Overall this book should be THE best seller of the year. -Grant Grissom

Summary: True to the bone. God guided. Will miss it when it's over.
Review: Knowing the Lord and believing that there is a begining and an end to everything. Mr. LaHaye and Mr. Jenkens have touched on a story that I believe is in contrast with the Bibles prophecies. They put the end times in a realistic and practical point of view. How can anyone read this and not see it's discription of how the world is and could be. Anyone who reads this wonderful story would have to at least wonder more about God and His word (The Bible). Thank you Mr. LaHaye and Mr. Jenkens for a great read and thank you Amazon for the opportunity to comment.

Summary: Fascinating!!!
Review: At first I thought the writing a little amaturish, but then the truths from the Bible and the way they were applied fascinated me. I am ordering another book for my son in prison. He is now saved and witnessing for the Lord and I think this book will be a real wake-up call to those "dudes" in prison who claim to be Christians but do not want to stand up and be counted.

Summary: Moving and Thought Provoking Novel
Review: This book was recommened by a friend from my church, and much as predicted, I could not put it down once I started reading. I found the writing style to be, rather than high-schoolish, well put and the authors made their story easy to read, understand, and enjoy. They also got their message across, and though I have been a Christian for years, I really believe that this book changed my life. The characters are deep, and they draw you into their lives, and the story, with its intense plot, and cliffhanger scenes, is gripping and makes you want to keep reading more and more. One of the best novels I have ever read and a must for all people.

Summary: A masterpiece that keeps you on the edge of your seat!!
Review: Congratulations boys, this book is fantastic! I have never been one to enjoy radical religious stories, but this one kept my eyes flying and my heart racing! Lahaye and Jenkins incorporate fine writing into a tightly knit story about the earth's final days that packs quite a punch. The book is written in a form that allowes the average reader, along with the well versed Christian, to easily understand events as they unfold. I never before have read a book that could be compared to this, or fall in the genera for that matter. The novel speculates on furture events, while staying remarkably close to the predictions found in the Bible's book of "Revelations."

I feel that the book was written extremly well, and my interest never waivered. The authors engross the reader in the character's plight using lines like,"He was as scared as anyone on board. As he scanned the seats, he nearly panicked. He backed into a secluded spot behind the bulkhead and slapped himself hard on the cheek." I can feel that slap myself! The reader gets inside the characters' heads, and feels as though they're old friends as the story plays out. "What a sweet, sweet woman! he though. I never deserved her, never loved her enough! He set the cookies on the beside table, their essence filling the air. He climbed into bed and lay facedown, gathering Irene's nightgown in his arms so he could smell her and imagine her close to him. And Rayford cried himself to sleep." Wow-- I feel as though I'm in the man's shoes!

I loved the plot, at the least, it makes one stop and think about priorities in life. I think that a literal inturpetation and expansion of "Revelations" could not have been done any better, and I enjoyed the ride. The authors keep the reader guessing, wanting more, throughout the novel. I found myself unable to put the book down! The story is set in future, yet frightening realistic modern times, and takes place on a global scale. I don't find much symbolism in a book like this, being that it derives a story from the bible in the most literal of ways. The novel is also visually stunning, describing surroundings with lines like, "At the end of the hall he paused before the French doors that led the the master suite. What a beautiful, frilly place Irene had made it, decorated with needlepoint and country knickknacks."

When it comes to critasizm, I find myself pondering. I recommend this one to a person that is up for a thrill and is willing to give it a chance. If you aren't into "willing suspension of disbelief," then this novel is probably not your cup of tea. I think also, that some may find the shocking, literal inturrpetation of "Revelations" a bit radical, but it is done well in my view. The only weakness I find in the writting is the jumping of narration between characters throughout the story. This makes the reader rise and fall as scenes come to a climax, and then disappear for a time. I found myself skipping chapters at points, which is something I would not suggest.

Overall, I found this book gripping, and I was thrilled time and again by the detail, depth of characters, and plot. I hope this review shed some light on the novel. I look forward to reading the rest of the series!

Summary: Can't put it down!
Review: We read the first four books in the "Left Behind" series in less than a week, even with a full time job, two young children at home and a husband that travels.

It will be hard to wait for the next in the series. Knowing myself, I will probably read all four again just when the new one comes out.

Lahaye and Jenkins have a style that is easy to read, with just enough detail that one can visualize the scene, feel you are there and that you know the characters personally. I can't wait to find out what happens to Buck and Chloe and what the deep, dark secret is about Amanda.

I now find myself going back to my bible at every opportunity to get the story "from the horse's mouth" as it were.
