Rating: Summary: What a great to spend your evenings! Review: I have read the first three books and am beginning the fourth. This is a fantastic series! Because I'm a christian and a big science fiction fan, these books are awsome. They read like science fiction - but they're not! I think they are a great opportunity for non-believers to enjoy the ride and get a little of the "Word" along the way. Way to go Authors - keep them coming! God Bless...
Rating: Summary: This book is great! Review: Millions of people all over the world disapera at once. Not everybody disapeared though, lot's of people were "Left Behind." Among the people left begind are, Rayford Steele, a pilot of Pan-Con, Chloe Steele, Buck Williams, a reporter, and Bruce Barnes, a Pasture. Together they try to figure out what caused these mystifying dissapearnces while trying to cope with losing loved ones. The book was suspensful and captivating. Though it has religous parts in it, you don't have to believe in the same thing as the characters in the book believe to enjoy reading it. If you like books that are Sci-Fiction, suspence, whith a slight love story added to it, then this is the book for you!
Rating: Summary: Encouraging Review: I notcied that a few non believers made comments about the book failing as an evangelical tract. That is very sad, as it uses fictional narrative to apply what the Bible says will soon become your life, after the rest of us meet Christ in the air. For those of you who are non believers and "respect our beliefs," congratualtions, I hope you are truly pround of yourself for your open mindedness. But as this book and the rest in the series and the BIBLE say, none can save themselves. But good luck in trying. I pray that you find the road to salvation! I would like to say that as a new Christian, reading this series has been worth the time I have spent. Following the lives and faith of these tribulation saints has been encouraging. Those of you who feel that these books were written as scare tactics to bring you to Christ, I feel sorry for you that you do not yet know his love. I can assure you that they were meant more for the encouragement of those who believe. The series definitely has encouraged me to stay strong in Christ! Praise the Lord!!
Rating: Summary: We have to warn our love ones Review: These books are wonderful,We have been studing the Rapture at our church, and just reading these books made it so compeling to win our lost love ones with great URGENCY.
Rating: Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK MAN!!!!! Review: I give this book ten stars!! I absolutely despise reading, until I read Left Behind. It kept me on the edge of my seat--I absolutely could not put it down. This first book has already made me an instant fan and I can't wait to get my hands on the next ones. But I'd rather read about being "Left Behind" than expeirencing it for myself, wouldn't you?
Rating: Summary: AWESOME SERIES!!! Review: I've read all of the books in the series so far, and they are all absolutely awesome. They're suspenseful and very interesting. Also, the authors are great about backing up what they claim with scripture as proof. They're definitely a fast read. I read the latest one, Apollyon (450 pages) in ONE day!! Another great thing about these books is that they're a great witnessing tool. People who aren't Christians could get wrapped up in the plot before they realize it's "Christian literature", and then they won't want to put it down. Reading what will happen to them if they don't receive Christ as their Savior can definitely be an eye-opener. I can't wait for the movie to come out!!! God bless the writers for this awesome ministry!!! Now, go buy the book!!! :o) <><
Rating: Summary: Buy this book at Wal-Mart and pay less! Review: This book begins the series that is a high speed roller coaster. You WILL love it!
Rating: Summary: The very worst of modern literature and evangelism Review: I'm not going to waste breath eviscerating the book for its sub-fanfiction writing or its artificial publisher's fat (big type, white space, wide margins, etc.). Instead, I'm singling out the book for its astonishingly uncharitable, un-Christian, loveless view of the world. I can't think of a book that is less concerned with Christian principles of any stripe -- it's one gigantic revenge fantasy, where all the sinners writhe in hell and the righteous "get to eat ice cream on gold plates", as Tom Joad put it.I find it nothing short of blasphemous that the very people who claim to want to bring a loving and peaceful philosophy to the world read this book with such tightly couched sadism in their hearts. All of which tells me they are not servants of God but rather a darker, more crimson master. If you believe.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME!!!!!!! Review: This was a great book! I've loved every page of it and the others (Im on #4!!!) I read a lot of the reviews and saw how great an influence these books have made on others all over the world. For those who thought it was "thin" I strongly disagree and wish that you'd look deeper to see that the true meaning of the book is about Gods love for us and the eternity we could have with him in Heaven!!!=]
Rating: Summary: Riveting, absolutely exceptional! Review: There aren't really any words to describe these books, but this book was the beginning and it definitely got me hooked! I'm only 16, but these books are great! My youth pastor and the pastor at my church got me going on the series and I've been gobbling them up ever since! Thanx guys for a terrific series of books about real things. Keep up the good work!
