Rating: Summary: gripping, eye opening, and terrifying Review: I recently became a new Christian. Although, God has always been a part of my life, I recently came to understand Jesus' part in it. I have been a voracious reader all my life and so it is with Christianity. What a powerful series to start on my new journey. It took me 2 weeks to complete the five books and I have my name in for Assisins for the August 4th release. I feel the need after reading this series to leave it to people who might be "left behind" as an aid.Christian or not this series is an excellent read. Maybe even more so if you are not a Christian then it will be more entertaining and not scare you as much. I always thought the most enticing books were the ones that could actually come true. Good luck trying to put this down and actually get some other things in your life accomplished. And God bless you all!
Rating: Summary: Exceptional book! Must read! Review: I started reading this book and didn't want to put it down. It really makes you stop and take a good look at your personal life and where you think you stand as far as going to heaven or hell. Will you be one of the select or will you be left behind? I was amazed at how closely this book follows the Bible. If you don't believe it, read it for yourself and then read your Bible. It is all there in black and white. The Rapture is coming and no one knows when but God. The Bible is real!! It doesn't lie!!
Rating: Summary: This book really grabs you in the first chapter. Review: Great book. The first chapter makes you want to continue reading without putting the book down. Briliantly written using the storyline directly from the bible. My hat is off to you Tim. Chuck Gates
Rating: Summary: The book to read if you are interested in biblical prophesy Review: The entire Left Behind series gives a powerful message on biblical prophesy. I have read all of the books out so far while doing a study on prophesy and they helped to explain so many things I didn't understand from my study. Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins are both lifetime scholars of bible prophesy and the books follow the bible. These books are also a great witness tool for non-believers. They are not only powerful, but completely entertaining, and no one can read them without being touched in some way. I know about 20 people who have read this series, both believers and non-believers, and everyone has loved them. The books also make great gifts and Amazon has them for a much better price than the book stores, so you can afford to give them all as a set!
Rating: Summary: When Christ Comes . . . Review: This book is, by far, one of the best books I've ever read. I love reading books that play out in your head like you're watching a movie, and this one (along with the others) does just that. Rayford Steele is a great character, very similar to many people out there who don't know where they are now, much less where they will be going when Christ comes for His own. The story moves fast, not letting you even think of wanting to put it down. And the message is true. Sure the story line is fiction, but the premice is VERY REAL. This book should cause people to think about their own salvation.
Rating: Summary: What To Do Next? Review: I am NOT a reader, but when someone told me about the first book I checked it out at our church library and could'nt put it down!! So I asked my husband to buy ALL 5 books for me (not wanting to wait for the next book to come in to the library). I haven't been able to stop reading. What a wonderfull feeling to sit and not want to put a book down!!! I'm on the 4th book now and wondering what I'll do for reading material after the last book!
Rating: Summary: GOOD!!!!! AND THERE'S MORE! Review: I loved, 'Left Behind'. I thought it was really good for what it is. I can't wait to read the next one.--------- There's another novel called, 'The Fist of God' by A.T. Nicholas out there that 'Left Behind' series readers should get their hands on. It's a great, 'good vs evil' storyline with a pretty cool twist. The plot unfolds through the eyes of a homicide detective, who becomes a reluctant participant in the bloody battle for souls. It's fast pace and written well. Some of the language is strong, but the message is too good not to read because of street talk. Highly recommanded!
Rating: Summary: After Left Behind, I had to read the other four books. Review: The 5-books of the "Left Behind" series are spell- binding. I am looking forward to reading the sixth book, "The Assassins" due by August 99. The messages are riviting and based on the Bible. As I read, I envisioned actors I would like to see portraying the key characters in the forthcoming movie(s). I read all five books within two weeks and I work full-time. I have recommended the series to others and I am grateful to a very good friend who recommended the series to me.
Rating: Summary: The Rapture is Real Review: You cannot read this book and not believe in the Rapture. Each character will remind you of yourself.
Rating: Summary: A joke Review: Simplistic religious propaganda designed to manipulate and frighten. It's funny that folks who espouse the Rapture and attendant details as expressed in these books style themselves as "biblical fundamentalists" who take the Scriptures literally. This Rapture dogma is cobbled together from various vague references which are all taken out of context. All this is is a blatant attempt to scare you into joining up with them. Don't fall for it. Use the reason God gave you.
