Summary: THE BEST---More truth than fiction
Review: I LOVED THESE BOOKS. I read all 5 books in the series in 9 days! (And I've already started Assassins and it appears it's going to be as good as the rest). People keep referring to these books as fiction (which in essence they are) but they are based on more truth than fiction. People need to wake up. If you don't believe the events in these books could really happen, all you have to do is READ YOUR BIBLE. IT'S ALL THERE!!!! One of the things that make these books so spellbinding is, as you're reading them, you feel like you are getting a glimpse into the future. The authors have done an excellent job in interpreting a complicated and hard to understand subject with very good accuracy and creating an unforgettable story. The characters and their lives were so real I could not wait to see what would happen next.

Summary: One of the most riviting and exciting books I've read!
Review: I really loved this book. I just couldn't stop reading it until I was done! It's a real page turner. It also makes you think about life in a cosmic sence. It really brings God into the readers life. It did for me.

Summary: Awsome
Review: I was hesitant at first since this book is categorized as religious fiction. Thank god (no pun intended) i picked it up. It is fabulous. The reading is fast and gives great insight into the bible, especially for someone who is not religious. The first book in the Left Behind series, begins a journey you will not be able to put down. Each book gets better and better. Read them all (left behind, tribulation force, nicolae, soul harvest, appollyon, assasins). I read tribulation force in 3 hours. You will not be dissapointed.

Summary: Interesting premise, but not particularly well written
Review: Since there are 600+ reviews already listed here, I'll stick to what bothers me about this book. 1. The characters are paper thin. There is no character development, and the characters are mostly indistinguishable from each other. 2. The narrative tends to be boring. There is no mental picture painting here. The authors just want to skip over lots of detail in the story instead of letting the reader experience it. Lack of writing skill here? 3. The main characters' conversions to Christianity are not very believable. They happen too quickly, too easily. There is very little soul-searching involved. Better writing might have convinced me. 4. Much of the "thinking" done by Buck, Chloe, and Rayford just doesn't fit with what little of their character has been exposed. It's just a convenient way to stick in a sermonette here and there.

I *really* wish this book were better written. I love the urgency of the message. I feel that the aims of the authors are admirable, but that they should be embarrassed by their slipshod uncreative work. As a work of literature, this book would almost certainly not be published by anyone except a "religious" imprint. The authors got the message out, but it's too bad they didn't bother to craft a better read.

Summary: Interesting and worth reading
Review: The book confirms my belief that I absolutely DO NOT want to be left behind. The level of writing is not very challenging and the story sometimes jumps from spot-to-spot without full development. Nonetheless, it is entertaining. At least the language is clean!

Summary: thought provocking great read
Review: I enjoyed the book so much that I got " Tribulation Force" before I finished reading "Left Behind". I wanted to make sure that I could keep on reading.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Gave me a better understanding of Rapture. Excellent
Review: I was so drawn into the book that I could not put it down. I read with thirst and looked forward to the next book, Tribulation Force. The book of Revelations was presented in a way that it was understandable to me. Reading this book brought me back to reality and put God back in my life. Everyone should read it before it is too late.

I have never read such a powerful piece of fiction with such an impact on my life.

Summary: A Must Read
Review: After reading the negative reviews of some of the others here, I was skeptical of this novel. But it seems to me that those who said the negative things about this book seem closely related to the unbelievers protrayed in this wonderful piece of apocalyptic fiction. This is a thinking man's book - not dependent on superhyped action to see it through a shabby plot. One can not walk away from this book without an introspective look at one's self. Those who claim otherwise may need to worry where they'll be when the end does come. Read this book! You won't regret it.
