Summary: Absolutely wonderful!
Review: Couldn't put it down. The story and the facts are very well written. You can go to your Bible and check it all out. Very thought provoking with interesting with real characters, not wimps, as Christians are usually portrayed. Loved it! Recommend it highly!!

Summary: First in series, Great! Couldn't wait for the next book.
Review: This book is based on the book of Revelation from the Bible. The characters are very real. This could happen to you.... are you ready??

Summary: This book was incredible!
Review: When I first started this book I was skeptical. After all I have usually shied away from apocallyptic works because they tend to be very depressing. I was quite pleasantly surprised to discover that this was not the case in this book. The choice that LaHaye and Jenkins made in focusing on the hope of Rayford, Chloe, Bruce and Buck was just right. Watching these four characters find their faith after the tragedy of the world-wide disappearances and go on to begin to live God's word in the hope of seeing the Glorious Appearing is incredible and awe-inspiring. I have never felt so uplifted after reading what I originally assumed was going to be a very depressing book. Keep up the good work!

Summary: I couldn't put this book down!
Review: I loved reading this book. It was written for everyone, Christian or not. I believe this book can and will convert many. It's written with excellence and suspense. I had to reach the end before I put it down.

Summary: A poor meal of a book
Review: Is this book were a meal, it would be a bowl of water thin apologetic soup, some hard cheese literalism, a club-you-over-the-head morality sandwich, a side of paper-thin character chips with a heaping bowl of word salad, to go.

Although it definitely leaves a stong taste in your mouth, it's just not very filling.

Summary: A Must Read!!!! So real it should scare you.
Review: I am not what you would call a reader. I don't really have the time, well that's been my excuse, but this series is so real and it keeps you hanging on every word. This is probably the best book I have ever read. I can't believe anyone wouldn't like it you really have to be close minded not to.

Summary: tremendous eschatological fiction!
Review: Although not much of a fiction reader, I thoroughly enjoyed Left Behind. It was rivetting, well-informed biblically, and had good character development. This volume presupposes pretribulational premillennialism in that it portrays the Rapture of the church as occurring before the seven years of the great tribulation. Despite one's eschatological stance, Left Behind is a must read for the converted, the curious and the skeptic. Left Behind also nicely portrays different types of Christian conversions!

Summary: Simply WONDERFUL!!!!
Review: I found this book to be extremely difficult to put down. It stirred so many emotions from sorry and fear for those left behind to ultimate joy for those that found salvation and truth after the Rapture. It has brought back a great excitement that I once had about being part of God's family that I somehow lost through the years. I feel whole spiritually once again because of this book and I would recommend it to everyone....Christian or not.

Summary: Theologically poor and very shallow
Review: I read the first two books in this series, and was appalled at the story: if it was JUST fiction (and not "based" on the Bible), I would leave well enough alone. But this is supposedly based on the Word of God. Reader beware! It scares me to think that people think this is a good read, or inspiring. Let me say this, the easy-believism in this story should be enough to drive any sincere believer away! But the church today seems to like this sort of fluffy nonsense. And let's not discuss eschatology here. To say that it is almost non-existent would be an understatement. And I think that the antichrist is absolutely not believable. I'm sure that Mr. LaHaye is a nice man, but the content of this book is dangerously lacking in substance and faith. Sorry.
