Rating: Summary: Great!!!!!! Review: After the first 6 chapters, I couldn't stop reading...I wished I had bought the second book ahead of time. I finished reading the first book at night and had to wait until the morning before I could get the next one.....
Rating: Summary: INCREADABLE!!!!! Review: THE BEST BOOK I'VE EVER READ!!! I hate to read, I chose this book for a report and I could not put it down. It was a page turner, I would recomend it to anyone, God bless the authors, your really waking people in this generation up, your in my prayers
Rating: Summary: I feel compelled to tell others to read it. Review: No other book I have read has caused me to feel so compelled to tell others about it. I want to buy a copy for everyone I know and to evangelize as I never have before.Prior to reading this book I would have felt that discussing Jesus with others was inappropriate. Now, I feel obligated to tell others, as though withholding this information is as bad as not believing Jesus is my Savior. To literary critics this may not be perfection, but to me this is my inspiration to study the Bible, to evangelize, and to pray. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic, a must read! Review: A wonderful introduction to the Left Behind series. You are hooked into the characters and whether or not they will make a decision for Christ. If you say to a non-Christian or basically unchurched person that one day the rapture will take place they look at you like you are nuts. But this book conveys these hard to understand truths of scripture in a in a way that makes sense. It leaves you begging for more.
Rating: Summary: Estupendo! Review: This book is a very charming book, that is a simple, easy-to-read novel that is so well-written it is scary. so earth-shattering and so real, you'll feel as if you know Rayford, or Buck. this book is magical, and it was very difficult for me to put down, and when you do put it down, you regret it. I read it within 3 days, and I can't wait to read Soul Harvest.
Rating: Summary: It offers an insight as to what the world may become. Review: I read "Left behind" the summer of 1998. It was readable, interesting and the message made me sit up and take notice. I bought the next books as fast as I could. I started reading the bible again and joined the church my youngest son was going to. Much to my surprise, it was the same church that Tim LaHaye founded. It was just the thing I needed to get me back on track with my Maker. I have since been baptized by immersion in a wonderful Bible based Christian Church with a great pastor. The book started it all!
Rating: Summary: terrible book Review: Okay, friends, this is not a fictional rendition of "what the Bible says." It's an attempt to promulgate Dispensational Premillenerianism, which is 150-year old opinion about what will happen at the end of the world. It's cobbled together by a selective reading of various passages of Scripture, taken out of context and imaginatively interpreted. And that's the key- if you take the Bible literally, as God's Word, why would you buy into an opinion that is nothing but interpretation? Plus, the writing's really, really lame.
Rating: Summary: Great Read For New Christians Review: I think this book contain the truth that needs to be heard. People do not want to hear things that make them uneasy about themselves and this is what this book does. It makes you search yourself.
Rating: Summary: A book for all kinds of fiction readers. Review: This book was a delight to read and I was not able to put it down at all. If one sees this book and thinks this is just for strict religious people; believe me it is not. This is a well written piece of fiction with realistic main characters and backdrop events that could happen in our world we live. I recommend this book for all readers.
Rating: Summary: Mesmerizing Review: As thrilling as The Triumph and the Glory, as popular as any Oprah book, as inspirational as Faith of My Fathers, with a message that is extremely timely, Left Behind touched my heart with it's simple message. Thank you, Lahaye and Jenkins!
