Rating: Summary: The best I have read in years, an attention getter & keeper! Review: I had doubts at first but the more I read, the more I was interested in the bible too! I checked with the bible against the story and the facts are there. I don't want to be left behind, but to get a perspective of how it may be, gave me the push I needed to get more involved with God, Jesus, and the Bible. I could hardly put these books down. I have read all that are available now and am excited to read future ones too! Keep in mind that we don't know when He will come for his true believers, Be Prepared! Don't worry about Y2K, be prepared for J2R! (Jesus to Return)Thanks Tim & Jerry, keep up the great job!
Rating: Summary: I highly recomend this book. Review: This book gives a estimated truth about what would happen tothe world if the bible's events turn out to be true and how the peoplewould react.
Rating: Summary: This book introduces a series-best selling-but not the best. Review: Left Behind will convict those who are already believers. It will bring a modern life to an ancient text. But does it deliver? For those on the fence in matters of faith and millennial anxieties, for those who see the hand of man as well as the forces of Satan in this planets destiny, "Transfer-the end of the beginning" is a much more credible vision of what is really happening. I will never read the paper, watch the news, or surf the net in the same way again. Jerry Furland delivers the whole package in Transfer. I enjoyed Left Behind but I was riveted by Transfer. Read them both-you decide.
Rating: Summary: And the Truth Shall Make you Free! Review: This book brought the Book of Revelations to a better understanding for me. Lahaye teaches that prophecy isn't as difficult to understand as most people try to make it. In fact, in his newest book, "Are we living in the end times", he teaches that 80% of prophecy should be taken literally. Many people may feel threatened by this series because the truth may scare them. There is no such thing as an atheist, we all believe in something. Whether it be the god of money or intellectuallism, etc. or the one and only true God who sent his son, Jesus.
Rating: Summary: Eye-Opener Review: This book made me take a closer look at myself and my relationship with the Lord. More than anything I want to be ready when He (Jesus) comes back for His church. If you have not read this book, I encourage you to do so. It will open your eyes to the book of Revelations. This book is excellent
Rating: Summary: I would give it more stars if I could. Review: This book has changed many lifes around me. Jesus is coming again and it is good to know there are others out there who love him as much as I do. This book is exciting and uplifting. If Jesus comes again in my life time I want to be taken up with him.
Rating: Summary: Entertaining Beginning Scuttled By Not-So-Subtle Agenda Review: Most bookstores categorize this series as "Inspirational Fiction." That means it is fiction mixed with what the author's believe, and want you to believe, is "The Truth." The novel is filled with fun but naive views of world politics. The authors hook you with about 200 pages of action before hitting you with the scripture. The author's try to be subtle, but this is definitely agenda-driven fiction. The devil's advocate parts with the non-believers is a funny and unsuccessful attempt to look objective. If you're a Christian, this is a celebratory "told-you-so" romp (as evidenced by all the "Teen Tribulation Force" web sites). If not, it is still a good story mixed with a crusade agenda.
Rating: Summary: Anti-Catholic propaganda moves into mainstream Review: The number of reviews by people apparently beside themselves with admiration for this book series is deeply saddening. "Left Behind" is written by a fundamentalist with a strong anti-Catholic bias. In fact, he even introduces God Himself to win his argument, when most Catholics are "left behind" in the book (always a tempting plot device). Thousands of people are getting their theology from a glossy but poorly written series of tabloid-quality books, while sneering at the holy, apostolic Church of Peter. What's wrong with this picture? This kind of stuff is not worthy of the mainstream attention it has received, not to mention prominent display in every Christian bookstore I've walked into. Smarten up, people!
Rating: Summary: Awsome Review: I guess the bible was right when it said that wise men will have a harder time entering the kindom of heaven then the camelt o go through the eye of a needle. I loved this book, and I personally know that it is truth to the fullest. I am what wise men all a christian. I am not stupid, just found. I loved this book and can't wait to read the next.
Rating: Summary: THE PROPAGANDA MINISTERS HAVE STRUCK AGAIN Review: This book is written like a propaganda minister would've written about the Jews in WWII Germany. It is arrogant, self-serving, demonizing tripe, and it's pseudo-intellectual rants made me feel like the authors were signing me up for Sunday services. This book is not dangerous unless you believe that this will actually happen. If that's the case, I suggest you read Carl Sagan's "A Demon-Haunted World." Maybe then you'll learn something about the world you live in.
