Summary: A holy purpose as an excuse for mediocre.
Review: I found the message of this novel, or should I say this message disquised as a novel, compelling enough to get me to the end of this book. But look out, this is poorly written stuff. Characters, plot, story integrity, it's all pretty bad. At worst you feel cheated and wonder how this lack of respect for the reader should reflect on the sincerity and veracity of the material. All in all, I read it, considered it, and wished I'd borrowed it.

Summary: Left Behind - Excellent
Review: Left Behind and the books to follow are an outstanding source for understanding things from Revelation that will happen during the Tribulaton Period. If you are not a born-again Christian, you should read this book. The book is called fiction because of the characters. However, the events that take place are not fiction. The wise reader will distinguish between fact and fiction.

"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night." (1 Th 5:2 KJV)

Don't be Left Behind, read this book!

Summary: Left Behind, #1
Review: I am usually not much of a reader, in fact, I don't enjoy reading. But I have gotten hooked on this series, and I find myself fascinated and eager to begin each book. I am hoping that there will be more books, and I would like to see Movies for each of the books!

Summary: Compelling, well-written, you won't put it down!
Review: This is one of the most incredible books I have ever read! The intertwining of the parallel story lines and the pace of the plot development leave you anxious to turn the page. I simply could not put this book down, read it cover to cover in 3 hours. It will make you view your life in an entirely different manner. It will also move you to think of others in your life...perhaps in life-changing ways you never expected.

Summary: Hard to put down, but not the be all, end all
Review: I am actually about 3/4 of the way through the first book. A Christian friend at work loaned it to me to read. I have found it very difficult to put down, but I also agree that the characters are weak and the storyline jumps about too much. I am not a Christian myself, and this book has not compelled me to rush out and "find Christ". I find it an entertaining, easy-to-read work of fiction about the end of the world. I'm glad I'm borrowing the books in the series from a friend, though. I wouldn't spend my own money on them.

Summary: Readers Left Behind on Left Behind
Review: I really wanted to like this book. I thought the subject matter sounded interesting. Unfortunately I found the book lacking in just about everything, including good writing. On the one hand there are descriptions of how, with the disappearances of millions of people, there is social chaos with looting and blocked traffic. On the other hand a character is flying all over the world with no problem. It seems as if the two authors wrote their own sections and never successfully integrated them into a coherent story. I found getting through the book to be an unhappy experience and I wiil avoid any further books from either of these gemtlemen. Left Behind? Leave it behind!

Summary: a serious page turner

Summary: Deep insight to a confusing book in the Bible
Review: When "Left Behind" hit the shelves, I was hesitant to read a book about a book in the Bible. When I opened the cover and starting reading, it caught me in its grasp and held my interest until the very last page. Because of this novel (the entire series) I have started to really look closely at the book of Revelation and start thinking more closely about the future and being ready for Jesus' return. I'm ready, are you?

Loved it, you should buy it now!

Summary: This is the greatest series of books I have ever read
Review: I read all five books in less than 2 weeks. Once I started reading I couldn't stop. They were very powerful. I well like the people who didn't like these books are the very ones who will be here to live through this time in history.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You owe it to yourself to read this and be changed.
Review: I was not expecting much when I received this as a gift. I've always been unsettled and somewhat afraid by talk of the rapture. This book makes it all so clear. I recognized the events as prophecy but it had been so confusing to me before. I now feel so much more at ease about the future AND am taking steps to change my life. You owe to yourself whether you believe in the second coming or not, to examine this book. You won't be sorry. I was stealing the time even at stop lights to read! The story is so compelling! I can hardly wait to read the rest of the series!
