Summary: A way to engage people in Bible studies
Review: This book consists of 60 calligraphic renderings of Bible passages and an very short explanation by Botts as to why he chose to render the passage as he did. This explaination shows how his art engaged him in a reflection on the passage and how his study of the scripture inspired his art. This is much along the lines of Jo Milgrom's Handmade Midrash. For anyone who is themself interested in calligraphy, for those interested in art as prayer, or those interested in using art as a means of encouraging bible study this is an excellent resource.
